We are looking to hire a full-time Technical Designer for DNAM Brands.\nIn this role, you will support the development of men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel across our portfolio of iconic brands-including Von Dutch, Ed Hardy, Trina Turk, Valentino Orlandi, and Badgley Mischka-ensuring fit, construction, and quality consistently meet brand standards. Partnering closely with Design and Production teams, you will translate creative concepts into production-ready garments through detailed tech packs, precise spec sheets, and hands-on fit management. This role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and the technical execution needed to move styles from development through bulk production.\nThe Technical Designer plays a critical role in maintaining consistency, accuracy, and quality across all categories-ensuring every garment is well-executed, production-ready, and aligned with each brand’s standards. \nYou must be based in Los Angeles or willing to commute to our office to be considered for this position.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and update comprehensive tech packs, spec sheets, grading rules, and measurement charts with precision\nOwn the fit process from first proto through TOP approval, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand standards\nLead fit sessions, document feedback clearly, and issue detailed, production-ready corrections to factories\nEvaluate prototypes, SMS, pre-production, and TOP samples for fit, construction, workmanship, and quality\nCommunicate daily with overseas factories to resolve technical issues and ensure timely sample turnaround\nIdentify potential construction or production risks early and proactively implement solutions\nEnsure grading is accurate and consistent across size ranges and categories\nPartner cross-functionally with Design and Production to balance aesthetic intent with manufacturability and cost efficiency\nMaintain organized, up-to-date technical files to support seamless development-to-bulk transitions\nUphold quality and consistency standards across all brands and product categories\nQualifications\n3+ years of technical design experience in apparel across men’s, women’s, and/or children’s categories\nStrong expertise in garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit development\nAdvanced ability to build detailed, production-ready tech packs including specs, construction details, BOMs, and callouts\nProven experience leading fit sessions independently and making clear, actionable fit corrections\nDeep understanding of fabric behavior, stretch, shrinkage, and wash impact on fit\nExperience partnering with overseas factories and communicating technical direction clearly and effectively\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes from development through bulk production\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, specs, and documentation\nHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple styles, categories, and production calendars simultaneously\nProficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel;
