This role works across the full industrial data stack, including PLC generated field data, messaging infrastructure, databases, and Ignition applications, to ensure system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement. The Senior SCADA Engineer plays a key role in maintaining platform stability, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting customers, and helping scale the platform as the business continues to grow.Job Responsibilities\nMonitor, maintain, and support the health, reliability, and performance of the SCADA platform and supporting infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, data integrity concerns, and operational incidents.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.\nDevelop and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes.\nCreate and improve standard operating procedures, operational documentation, and troubleshooting guides.\nServe as a technical escalation point for customer-reported issues and operational support needs.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to improve platform functionality, reliability, and scalability.\nDevelop and maintain scripts, automation, and tooling using Python and SQL.\nSupport database optimization, data pipelines, and backend integrations.\nDesign and maintain standardized PLC-to-SCADA data structures, naming conventions, and templates.\nSupport integration and troubleshooting of PLCs, IIoT devices, MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC UA, and Modbus communications.\nContribute to operational standards, best practices, and the growth of the SCADA operations function.\nJob Requirements\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on SCADA integration, development, or support experience.\nStrong experience with Ignition SCADA in a production environment.\nAbility to obtain Ignition Gold Certification within 6 months of hire.\nExperience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.\nProficiency writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.\nExperience with Python or other modern programming languages.\nWorking knowledge of MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC UA, Modbus, and industrial networking concepts.\nFamiliarity with Linux-based server environments.\nExperience troubleshooting complex systems across hardware, networks, databases, and applications.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to document technical processes and
