The role is proactive\nand analytical, often involving collaboration across different departments.\nDuties and responsibilities\nDevelop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) and condition-based/predictive maintenance (PdM) programs to ensure equipment availability and longevity.\n Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure modes and effects analysis to diagnose equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.\nMonitor and analyze reliability data, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Mean Time Between Failures, and production losses, to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nProvide engineering expertise for the repair, alteration and troubleshooting of critical mechanical and electrical systems.\nIdentify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations, including those related to safety and regulatory compliance.\nWork with project engineering teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new installations are considered during design, procurement, and commissioning stages.\nProvide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to maintenance and operations teams, and train staff on reliability best practices and new protocols.\nPerform equipment risk analysis and assessment, ongoing\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience\nBachelor’s degree in engineering mechanical, electrical or similar engineering field preferred \n10+ years of Manufacturing Experience as a Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer \nAbility to develop designs and create engineering drawings using CAD software · Ability to read technical drawings \nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite \nExperience with high-speed and/or custom automation processes for assembly and machine tending.\nDemonstrated understanding of equipment reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, lubrication best practices, and precision maintenance techniques.\nDemonstrated understanding and experience with PLC Programming on platforms such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, etc. \nKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC regulations/standards. \nMust be a user/implementer of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nMust be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends, and on-call as needed\n Experience in Web Converting, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high-speed, rotating equipment environment preferred.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nWhile there are no direct reports for this position, the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer may be responsible to oversee and direct the work of technicians and operations personnel during the implementation of projects and work activities.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
