Will be accountable for establishing and achieving objectives and targets in EH&S, quality, productivity, cost, inventory, and project management within their areas of responsibility\nDuties and responsibilities\nDevelops operating plans and budgets in accordance with the annual Sales plan by department and product category.\nCoordinates, directs, and evaluates the activities of production management and staff.\nEnsures adequate resources are provided for training and development in each department.\nDevelops improvement plans for safety, quality, productivity, and cost and establishes KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for each area.\nMonitors departmental performance to established targets, and reports progress to the VP of Operations and other executive management.\nWorks to develop direct reports through coaching and mentoring; identifies and develops internal talent for next level opportunities.\nChampions cost reduction and quality improvement efforts while engaging management and staff in problems solving.\nEnsures accurate process, production, and inventory data are captured, monitored and maintained.\nIdentifies, Manages, and Implements improvement projects throughout area of responsibility; drives teamwork and cooperation on projects as a supporting team member.\nCommunicates and works closely with other departments throughout the facility to ensure support activities are adequately executed in subject areas.\nOther duties as assigned by management. \nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in a technical field required (i.e. Engineering or Science). Commensurate work experience in lieu of degree will be considered.\n>10 years of manufacturing management experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience in operations planning, project management, and KPI development.\nFinancial acumen with direct experience in budget development and cost management.\nExperience managing a continuous web coating operation or other continuous web-based process (i.e. paper or film coating, extrusion coating, lamination, converting)\nStrong leadership skills and a track record of identifying and developing talent within the organization.\nAbility to communicate effectively up and down the organization.\nMust have strong written and verbal communication skills.\nMicrosoft Office skills.\nDemonstrated commitment to Safety and Quality\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis position has management responsibilities for all staff in the operational area. Direct supervisory responsibilities for operational leadership roles\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to work in an office setting and on a production floor.
