We support utilities, regulators, developers, owners and lenders with feasibility studies, technical due diligence, conceptual design & procurement support, and independent technical advisory services for either owner, lender or offtaker/procurer/regulator.\nIn this role you will have a dual responsibility, focusing on both being actively involved in the delivery of (mostly) energy storage related projects and driving bidding processes for energy storage related opportunities in Iberia, being the first point of contact for customers with energy storage projects.\nYou would be using your technical expertise and experience for supporting your colleagues in the team to deliver independent and owners engineering services across the MEA area.\nMost of the work will be desk based, but (national and international) travel for site and customer visits will be required at times (estimated at 5% to 20% of your time, depending on the projects you are involved in).\nMain duties will include but are not limited to:\nExecute and/or manage energy storage related advisory projects, including technology review, technical due diligence, conceptual design, developing and reviewing technical specifications.\nSupport in IPP, procurement , EPC/O&M contract review, PPA review, LTSA review, and performance guarantees, etc…\nConduct and manage design review (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, HVAC), construction progress monitoring, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), testing and commissioning.\nSupport and conduct energy yield assessment for BESS technologies considering augmentation and degradation using DNV modelling tools.\nSupport the development and maintenance of services and products related to Energy Storage, report writing, presentations, courses, etc..\nSupport the technical training to the rest of the Renewables Section in MEA about Energy Storage.\nExtend your external network and identify, drive and facilitate sales and market led opportunities for energy storage e.g. generating leads, quality proposals and closing deals in cooperation with the Market Area Managers for the region.\nAnalyze new business opportunities, gather market intelligence and ensure distribution of knowledge amongst relevant colleagues.\nAchieve sales as per targets agreed with the ME Renewables Team Lead.\nBuild an internal network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.\n Our benefits package is specifically designed to support your physical, financial and social well-being:\nReceive a competitive compensation package.\nGet secured for the future with our pension scheme, profit share, health care benefits and wellness programs. Diversity is fundamental to our culture and we invite you to be part of this diversity.\n Position Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in a relevant engineering subject.\n5+ years’ experience in the (renewable) energy sector, of which 2+ years providing engineering and/or consultancy services and 2+ years in the area of battery energy storage systems and applications.\nFamiliar with Feasibility Studies, Technical Due Diligence processes and Owners Engineering Services.\nTechnical expertise in battery energy storage technology, electrical balance of plant design & specifications.\nFamiliarity with contracts (construction, supply, operations, interconnection, offtake, and/or asset management contracts).
