DNV

DNV is an independent assurance and risk management firm and classification society headquartered in Høvik, near Oslo in Norway, serving the maritime, energy, renewables and healthcare sectors. Formed in 1864 as Det Norske Veritas and owned by a foundation, it employs about 15,000 people in over 100 countries, classifying ships, certifying management systems and advising on oil and gas, power grids and offshore wind. It hires engineers, surveyors, approval engineers, process safety experts, energy market analysts and project managers, along with interns, trainees and business support staff.

DNV Energy Systems' Renewables and Power Advisory group is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Analytics & Performance Lead to join our Wind Energy Assessment team.

This role supports the delivery and continuous advancement of technical consulting services for utility-scale wind energy projects across the U.S. and Canada. The position combines traditional wind energy assessment responsibilities with advanced data analytics, process automation, custom data processing, and technical leadership.

As a Senior Renewable Energy Analytics & Performance Lead, you will work with engineers and renewable energy professionals to develop innovative analytical solutions, automate assessment workflows, process large and complex datasets, and support critical project decisions throughout the project lifecycle through providing insight regarding data outputs.

This position serves as a key technical resource within the Wind Energy Assessment team and is expected to drive improvements in analytical methodologies, digitalization, data management, and automation capabilities while maintaining technical excellence in project execution.

Our team delivers a wide range of services including pre-construction energy assessments, operational assessments, SCADA analytics, repowering studies, remote sensing verification, greenfield development services, and wind resource characterization. We help developers, investors, lenders, utilities, and project owners make informed decisions that enable successful renewable energy projects.

Why should you work for us?

Because within DNV’s Renewables and Power group and organizational culture, how we collectively influence the world for future generations matters deeply to us. Our team works every day to increase the widespread deployment and operation of renewables to address climate change and positively impact society; endeavors to achieve our purpose through the success of our customers; and strives to be high-performing and innovative. Our approach reflects the equity, respect, and diversity we wish to see in the world.

Do you enjoy solving complex technical problems using data, coding, and advanced analytical methods? Are you interested in analyzing the performance of operating wind and solar assets? Do you enjoy developing tools and automated workflows that improve how renewable energy projects are assessed and delivered? Would you like to combine deep wind energy expertise with software development, analytics, and technical leadership to help shape the future of wind energy assessment?

This role is based at our DNV office in Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Oakland, CA; San Diego, CA; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; New York City, NY; Arlington, VA; Medford, MA; presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site.

Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
