Full-time\n\nIndustry: Furniture Manufacturing & Interior Design\n\nJob Summary\n\n We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Management & General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team.\n\n The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, budgeting, expense monitoring, financial analysis, and supporting effective financial decision-making across the organisation.\n\n The ideal candidate should have strong accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and proven experience working with ERP systems and financial statements in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Roles & Responsibilities\n\n Perform financial analysis and provide timely reports and insights to the Head, Finance & Accounts.\n\n Manage month-end accounting activities, including ledger reconciliations and journal entries.\n\n Prepare financial reports, statements, management accounts, and supporting schedules for review.\n\n Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate resolutions.\n\n Monitor expenditures, analyse revenues, and identify and report budget variances to Management.\n\n Ensure compliance with accounting and financial procedures in line with period-end closure requirements.\n\n Respond promptly to accounting and financial enquiries from Management.\n\n Provide guidance and support to members of the Accounts team where required.\n\n Assist in budget preparation, expense management, and financial planning activities.\n\n Supervise the bank reconciliation process and ensure discrepancies are promptly resolved.\n\n Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure invoices are properly approved and signed off.\n\n Monitor and record financial transactions in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.\n\n Prepare periodic accounting reports and year-end management accounts.\n\n Ensure accurate posting and maintenance of transactions within the company's accounting/ERP systems.\n\n Support internal and external audit activities by providing required information and documentation.\n\n Review existing accounting procedures and recommend improvements where necessary.\n\n Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accounting tasks are completed accurately and within stipulated deadlines.\n\n Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.\n\nExperience & Qualifications\n\n Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.\n\n Minimum of 6 years' relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory position.\n\n ACA/ACCA qualification is required.\n\n A Master's degree is an added advantage.\n\n Proven experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and management accounts.\n\n Experience working with ERP and accounting systems is essential.\n\n Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulatory requirements.\n\nRequired Skills & Competencies:\n\n Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.\n\n Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial statements.\n\n Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\n Strong understanding of financial and regulatory policies.\n\n High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical ability.\n\n Excellent reporting and documentation skills.\n\n Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues effectively.\n\n Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\n Strong leadership and team-management skills.\n\n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\n Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and
