A key to success for this position is the ability to collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel. The Quality Control Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between fabrication personnel, project teams, client representatives, third-party inspectors, and certification authorities to ensure inspection activities are completed, documented, and accepted. If you are looking for a dynamic environment to learn and grow your career, DOF Canada is a great opportunity!\nKey Responsibilities\nInspection Coordination\nCoordinate all quality control inspection activities throughout fabrication and assembly; \nEnsure inspections are completed at designated hold points, witness points, and review points as defined within project ITPs;\nCoordinate inspection schedules with fabrication, project, and client teams; \nAct as the primary contact for client and third-party inspection activities. \nMaterial Control and Traceability\nVerify incoming materials comply with project specifications; \nReview and maintain material certificates and traceability records; \nEnsure material identification is maintained throughout fabrication;\nVerify consumables are properly controlled and stored. \nWelding Quality Control\nVerify welding activities are conducted in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS); \nConfirm welders maintain current qualifications and certifications; \nCoordinate weld inspections and NDT activities; \nReview welding records and documentation packages. \nFabrication Quality Control\nPerform or coordinate dimensional inspections; \nVerify fabricated components conform to approved drawings and tolerances; \nMonitor fit-up, alignment, assembly, and installation activities; \nEnsure fabrication processes comply with project requirements. \nCoating and Preservation\nCoordinate coating inspections; \nVerify surface preparation, environmental conditions, coating application, and curing requirements; \nReview coating inspection reports and documentation. \nTesting and Commissioning\nCoordinate pressure testing, load testing, functional testing, and factory acceptance testing (FAT); \nEnsure testing activities comply with approved procedures;\nVerify test records are completed and accepted. \nNon-Conformance Management\nIdentify and document non-conforming products and processes; \nRaise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required;\nCoordinate disposition and corrective actions;\nVerify repairs and rework activities meet applicable requirements. \nDocumentation and Turnover\nCompile quality records and manufacturing data books;\nMaintain inspection records and quality dossiers; \nEnsure turnover documentation is complete and accurate; \nSupport project close-out activities. \nRequirements\n Qualifications and Experience:\nTechnical diploma in Mechanical, Welding, Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering Technology preferred; \n5+ years of experience in fabrication, construction, offshore projects, or manufacturing quality control;\nExperience with steel fabrication, welding, piping, marine construction, or subsea structures preferred; \nExperience working with client inspection requirements; \nExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;\nExcellent technical writing and verbal communication skills;\nWillingness to perform the work required to complete the project on time while meeting client expectations;\nWillingness to share experiences and teach critical skills/tasks to other team members;\nProfessional demeanor to promote company interests expected always.\n(Training programme can compensate for lack of experience.) \nTechnical Knowledge Required\nWelding inspection practices. \nMaterial traceability systems. \nFabrication drawings and specifications. \nInspection and Test Plans (ITPs). \nDimensional inspection techniques. \nNDT methods and reporting. \nQuality documentation and turnover packages. \nPreferred Certifications\nCWB Level 1 or Level 2 Welding Inspector. \nAPI, AWS, or CSWIP certifications. \nNACE or coating inspection certification. \nNDT certifications (CGSB Level II or equivalent). \nISO 9001 Internal Auditor. \nSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
