A key to success for this position is the ability to collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel. The Survey Engineer / Technician will report to the Project Manager. Expected 4 to 6 week rotation.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations;\nTroubleshoot faulty equipment; provide inventory listings, and equipment fault reports;\nResponsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as the maintenance of survey equipment and systems;\nSetup networks and interface survey sensors to the online system;\nFamiliar with serial data protocols, ethernet comms, fibre optics;\nMake up and terminate all types of cabling for interfacing; antennas, networks, serial data, video, subsea sensors, etc.\nMust manage all survey/ROV interface cables;\nShall notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment;\nCommission, calibrate and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief;\nEnsure the safe operation of survey equipment and systems;\nAccountable for the offshore tracking of project equipment and for the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment;\nMust support the on-line surveyor during operations;\nMaintain equipment logs and inventories;\nPrepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams;\nDemonstrate good problem-solving practices;\nCommunicate, on a daily basis, with the Party Chief.\nRequirements\nKey Qualifications and Experience:\nPost Secondary Education in Electronics / Engineering \n(Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency)\nExperience within offshore Oil & Gas/Renewables Industry is an asset\nProficient in Microsoft Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems. \nExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills \nBenefits\nSuccessful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
