You will run the tight iteration loops that close that gap, keeping our hardware and product teams moving from rough builds to polished systems ready for commercialization.\nThe Systems\nSniffspace presents breath samples to detection dogs. Dogsense is our 8-channel canine BCI. Both are moving from R&D prototypes toward commercial-grade products, built in-house across mechanical, electronics, and firmware, with rapid prototyping and 600+ vendor parts.\nWhat You Will Do\nRun tight iteration loops on Sniffspace and Dogsense, from prototype to polished product.\nKeep hardware and product teams aligned on priorities, timelines, and build readiness.\nTurn ambiguous R&D goals into clear milestones, owners, and schedules.\nManage vendors, builds, and testing so each iteration lands on time and to spec.\nTrack what is blocking each loop and clear it before it slows the team.\nPioneer the launch of our product globally, to usher a new way of canine-human interaction for canine teams around the world.\nWhat Success Looks Like (6 Months)\nSniffspace and Dogsense move through iteration cycles on a predictable, visible cadence.\nThe team knows what is shipping next, by when, and who owns it.\nAt least one platform has crossed from prototype to commercialization-ready.\nYou Are a Good Fit If\nYou have 3 to 5 years or more of experience, including 1 to 3 years as a PM in a hardware-focused role.\nYou spent 1 to 2 years as an IC in a strong mechanical or electronics R&D team before moving into PM work.\nYou can hold technical detail and timeline in your head at once, and translate between the two.\nYou bring order to fast, messy iteration without slowing it down.\nYou are comfortable owning outcomes across teams you do not directly manage.\nValuable but Not Required\nYou have taken a hardware product from prototype to commercial release.\nYou have managed vendor and manufacturing relationships.\nYou have worked in a regulated or precision-critical hardware environment.\nWhat You Will Get\nA direct hand in shipping the physical systems behind a test published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and covered in Scientific American and New Scientist.\nOwnership of the loops that decide how fast breath-based cancer detection reaches people.\nA small, interdisciplinary team spanning engineers, scientists, clinicians, and working detection dogs. The office is never boring.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2461,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Diagnostic Tests & IVD","Precision Medicine"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-21T11:04:43Z"},{"event":"close","at":"2026-10-23T12:49:04Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":null,"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/dognosis-project-manager-hardware","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/dognosis-project-manager-hardware.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-23T15:28:32Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":23329,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-24T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1915548},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1915548"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fdognosis-project-manager-hardware"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fdognosis-project-manager-hardware"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fdognosis-project-manager-hardware"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/dognosis-project-manager-hardware\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fdognosis-project-manager-hardware"}]}
