Our family operated company provides the attention and flexibility that only a regional carrier can, backed by excellence in service and powerful logistical tools.\nDohrn is seeking a Part Time Clerk at our Northlake, Il Terminal!Pay is $18.50/hr\nHours: Monday-Friday, 4pm to 9pm\nEntry level role responsible for greeting incoming truck drivers, collecting paperwork, coordinating door assignments via radio, and delivering documents to the office.\nResponsibilities\nGreet incoming truck drivers as they pull into the yard\nCollect bills of lading and other required paperwork from drivers\nCommunicate with the dock via radio to obtain door assignments\nRelay instructions to drivers clearly and professionally\nDeliver collected paperwork to the office promptly\nMaintain a safe and organized yard environment\nProvide basic assistance and direction to drivers as needed\nReport any issues or delays to supervisors\nPerform other duties as needed\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions\nReliable, punctual, and able to work independently\nComfortable using a two way radio\nAbility to walk and stand for extended periods\nWorking Conditions/Physical Demands\nPrimarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time\nMay be occasionally required to exert 25 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects\nThe general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;\nVisual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor\nManual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers\nTalking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others\nWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
