Our family operated company provides the attention and flexibility that only a regional carrier can, backed by excellence in service and powerful logistical tools.\nResponsibilities\nProvide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members\nRoute City operation\nManage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time Service, cost control, and claims prevention\nEnsure On-time Delivery service in accordance with the organizational goals by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely, efficiently, and returns are kept to a minimum\nMonitor Line Haul operation\nMonitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed\nSolve problems regarding lost and missing freight\nCommunicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation\nWork in a safe and professional manner so as to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees\nReport all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department\nComply with federal, state, and company regulations\nProcess all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job\nWork in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times\nPerform other duties as needed\nQualifications\nA minimum age of 18\nHigh School completion or equivalent\nValid Driver License\nSupervisory experience required\nAbility to work any shift\nMust have the knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Routing\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong leadership skills\nDetail-oriented, organized\nMust meet all physical requirements\nMust have certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handling\nAbility to multi-task and react to change productively\nExcellent attendance\nWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nVisual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor\nLifting various types of materials will be required: cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc\nCommon material handling tools will be used: forklifts, carts, dollies, banding machines, shrink wrap tubes, pallet jacks, and tow motors\nStanding, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending at the waist, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be required\nMust be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two-wheel handcart\nWill be required to lift up, set down, slide or move weight unassisted that could exceed 80 pounds\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and 100+ lbs. on an infrequent basis\nMust be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time\nMust have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts and tractors\nMust have the ability to work around and operate motorized equipment\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job description\nMay be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions in the dock environment; must be able to perform essential functions in these conditions\nWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
