You will oversee end-to-end billing processes, optimize platforms such as Zuora, and drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, revenue accuracy, system interoperability, and the customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic thinking and operational execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading cross-functional teams, leveraging modern data and agentic AI solutions, solving complex billing challenges, and rolling up their sleeves to deliver results.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop a Billing Strategy for Cloud Services\nDefine and execute a scalable billing operations strategy aligned with Dolby Cloud Services' growth objectives. \nBalance long-term strategic planning with direct operational involvement to ensure billing processes, systems, and controls effectively support new subscription models, pricing structures, customer requirements, and global expansion.\nOptimize Billing Systems, Automation, and Processes\nLead and actively participate in the enhancement of Zuora and integrated business systems. \nDesign, test, and implement process improvements, automation solutions, AI-driven workflows, and system integrations that improve operational efficiency, billing accuracy, scalability, and visibility across the order-to-cash lifecycle.\nRevenue Operations Leadership\nPartner with Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to develop scalable revenue operations policies and processes. \nPersonally support complex billing scenarios, contract interpretation, pricing model implementation, and operational execution to ensure accurate revenue recognition and efficient order-to-cash operations.\nDrive Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation\nLead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, including requirements gathering, process design, testing, deployment, change management, and operational support. \nDrive innovation through automation, AI-enabled solutions, system interoperability, and scalable business processes that support the growth of Dolby Cloud Services.\nOperational Execution and Issue Resolution\nServe as the primary escalation point for complex billing, operational, and customer-impacting issues, driving timely resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvements that enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and operational effectiveness.\nLead cross-functional problem solving, data reconciliation, system troubleshooting, and process remediation efforts to ensure timely resolution while implementing long-term corrective actions and process improvements.\nAI, Automation, and Systems Innovation\nEvaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered tools, intelligent automation, and agentic solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, system interoperability, and operational scalability. \nPartner with business and technical teams to modernize the billing ecosystem and enable data-driven operations.\nEnsure Compliance and Risk Mitigation\nOversee SOX compliance and ensure billing and revenue processes adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards. \nPartner with Legal and Finance to mitigate financial risk, support audit activities, and address complex customer and revenue-related issues.\nTeam Leadership and Development\nBuild a high-performing billing operations team while serving as a hands-on leader and player-coach. \nLead by example through direct involvement in critical initiatives, operational escalations, system enhancements, AI transformation efforts, and process improvement activities. \nQualifications:\nStrategic and Operational Leadership\n3+ years of experience in managing the day-to-day operations of Zuora billing system, revenue operations, and order-to-cash functions, including at least 1 year in a leadership role within a SaaS, subscription-based, or cloud services environment. \nBilling and Revenue Operations Expertise\nDeep expertise in subscription and recurring revenue business models, including usage-based, consumption-based, tiered, and hybrid pricing structures. \nBilling Systems and Process Optimization\nExperience with enterprise billing and revenue platforms such as Zuora, including system configuration, process design, automation, troubleshooting, and operational optimization. \nSaaS and Cloud Business Knowledge\nStrong understanding of SaaS and cloud services business models, revenue recognition principles, customer lifecycle management, and the operational complexities associated with global subscription businesses.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex billing, usage, revenue, and operational data to identify root causes, resolve issues, improve business performance, and support strategic decision-making. \nAI, Automation, and Systems Innovation\nExperience identifying, implementing, or leveraging AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, workflow technologies, or agentic systems to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, scalability, and customer outcomes. \nStrong interest in applying emerging technologies to modernize business operations.\nTechnical Acumen\nExperience working with enterprise business systems such as Zuora, Salesforce, Tableau and Slack. \nAbility to partner effectively with technical teams to support integrations, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and data-driven operations.\nCross-Functional Leadership and Influence\nProven ability to lead and influence cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Sales, Legal, Product, Engineering, IT, and
