The ideal candidate will have a passion for building capability in an organization and scaling it for the future, and will collaborate with various stakeholders, including People Business Partners, Centers of Excellence (Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, HR Systems), IT, Payroll, and Business Leaders.\nWhat you’ll do\n Operational, Project, and Program Management and SupportLead, coach, and direct the work of the Global People Operations team in the Asia-Pacific region, managing both lower level, administrative roles, as well as higher level subject matter expert roles\nLead the creation, execution, and success of global process improvement projects\nHelp develop and implement a roadmap for People Operations improvements that involves partnering with cross-functional teams to identify the biggest opportunities for simplification, automation, artificial intelligence, and efficiency, while ensuring a fantastic employee experience\nSeek opportunities to document and standardize global business processes and optimize efficiency of processes by applying continuous improvement methods (ie: Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma)\nPartner with leaders and People (HR) business partners on leading and driving employee separations, transfers, assignments, reorganizations, RIFs, M&A, and other complex employment actions\nWith the support of the People Relations team, assist managers in addressing performance issues and developing improvement plans\nDevelop and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and mitigate risk within the region \nDrive regional compliance programs and regulatory initiatives, ensuring adherence to employment laws, statutory requirements, and internal governance standards.\nDevelop and manage strategic vendor partnerships, including governance, service delivery, performance management, process optimization, and employee experience outcomes\nLead organizational change management efforts for People initiatives, ensuring stakeholder readiness, effective communication, and successful adoption\nDevelop strong partnerships with stakeholders (Business leaders, People Business Partners, IT, Payroll, Finance, Recruiting, etc.) to influence how we collaborate\nSupport internal and external audit requests related to SOX controls\n\nBangalore Site Strategy & SupportDevelop and drive all aspects of Bangalore employee experience\nDevelop People Operations on-site support \nAs a member of the Site Leadership Committee, partner with leaders and other stakeholders towards creating a roadmap for People and site related programs and improvements\nUnderstand the challenges and opportunities associated with a Growth Hub and engage with the Business to both represent & execute proactively on Bangalore’s growth.\n\nEmployee/Manager/Leader SupportAdvise and coach managers and employees on escalated People related matters and how to navigate Dolby processes and systems, \nAdvise on and document complex employment actions and agreements\nProactively engage and develop relationships with regional leaders\n\nRequired Experience/Skills\nProficient in English, both written and verbal \nAt least eight years of HR or related experience, two of which are managing People/People Operations\nHR Generalist experience, including employee relations experience\nDeep understanding of Asia-Pacific employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a multinational context, ideally with India, China, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore. Knowledge of US and EMEA employment laws and regulations is a bonus.\nDemonstrated ability to manage, drive, coach, and engage high performing teams in multiple locations\nDemonstrated global and strategic mindset in approaching work\nCollaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork, transparency, and open communication\nResourcefulness with problem-solving, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions\nEffective at influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders\nComfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily\nProject management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail\nTechnical expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nExperience with cloud-based HR systems (SuccessFactors ideal)\nProficient with digital collaboration tools, including HR case management and knowledge base software (ServiceNow ideal)\nWilling to learn and embrace technology to improve the employee experience and how we get our work done\nExperience at a multinational company\nAbility to flex working time to accommodate meetings in other time-zones.
