North America is our largest business market, and we're looking for someone who can independently manage its accounting operations while ensuring our French accounts payable activities run smoothly.\nReporting to Philippe, our Senior Chief Accountant, you'll combine hands-on accounting with a high level of autonomy, working closely with our US teams and external partners.\nYour missions\nYour role will be split equally between US accounting (50%) and French accounts payable (50%), with two main areas of responsibility.\nOwn our US accounting operations\nYou'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle of our North American activities, from daily transactions to monthly and annual closing.\nManage the full accounting cycle: Record transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.\n\nOwn month-end and year-end closing: Handle accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations independently.\n\nEnsure financial accuracy: Review accounting entries, investigate discrepancies, and maintain reliable financial information.\n\nCoordinate with our US accounting firm: Prepare and review the information required for tax and statutory filings.\n\nPartner with our US stakeholders: Work directly with Sales, leadership, clients, and external partners to address accounting matters.\n\nManage our French accounts payable\nAlongside your US responsibilities, you'll manage the day-to-day accounts payable operations for our French entity.\nHandle supplier accounting: Process and validate invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.\n\nManage expenses and follow-ups: Oversee expense reports, supplier balances, and related accounting entries.\n\nSupport monthly closing: Ensure supplier accounts are accurate and properly reconciled.\n\nImprove the way we work: Help streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and make the most of our existing automation and accounting tools.\n\nYour profile\nWe're looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the confidence to own a complex scope independently.\nWhat you'll bring:\n5+ years of experience in general accounting, with hands-on exposure to month-end and year-end closing.\n\nStrong technical accounting skills, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and financial controls.\n\nSolid knowledge of French accounting, particularly accounts payable processes.\n\nFluent French and English, comfortable communicating with international stakeholders.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial reconciliations.\n\nAutonomy and accountability: Able to manage priorities, solve problems, and deliver reliable work without constant supervision.\n\nA practical, structured mindset: Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working across different teams and business contexts.\n\nA plus, but not a requirement:\nExperience with US accounting standards or international entities.\n\nFamiliarity with Xero and Spendesk.\n\nExperience improving or automating accounting workflows.\n\nYou don't need to know US accounting inside out from day one.
