The Project Manager is a key leader within the project management team, responsible for overseeing complex projects, mentoring team members, and supporting strategic department initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in ecommerce, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem, and the ability to independently manage high-stakes projects while maintaining strong client relationships. The Project Manager is also expected to contribute to internal process improvements, develop functional specifications, and ensure that project teams operate efficiently and effectively.\n TRAITS\nStrategic thinker with a visionary approach, able to see the bigger picture while managing the details.\nConfident and assertive in decision-making, with the ability to lead high-stakes projects and guide teams through complex challenges.\nResilient and calm under pressure, capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines without compromising quality.\nInspirational mentor and leader, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.\nHighly analytical with a data-driven mindset, using insights to inform decisions and optimize project outcomes.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProject Leadership:\nIndependently manage and lead multiple complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.\nMaintain a high level of billable time (80%) while overseeing project teams and ensuring efficient resource utilization.\nAct as a proactive consultant, identifying opportunities for project savings, optimizing timelines, and managing changes to project scope.\nExpertly manage project dependencies, critical paths, and workback plans, ensuring that risks are identified, documented, and mitigated.\nClient Relations:\nServe as a trusted advisor to clients, expertly handling challenging communications and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.\nIdentify and lead opportunities to expand client relationships, resulting in additional billable work.\nCommunicate complex requirements and project changes to clients with clarity and professionalism, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.\nMentorship and Team Development:\nMentor and guide other prodject managers, providing expertise in project management best practices, tool utilization, and risk management.\nLead project retrospectives, identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting process changes to enhance team performance.\nActively contribute to the creation of internal templates, documentation, and processes to streamline project management practices.\nTechnical Expertise:\nDemonstrate expert knowledge of Shopify, including content management, data migrations, and integrations with systems like PIM and ERP.\nUtilize and coach others on Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), time planning tools (Productive), and other common project management software (Gdrive, Smartsheet, Front, Notion).\nStay current with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.\nExtensive experience in project management, particularly in ecommerce or digital product environments.\nExpert understanding of Shopify, including admin management, data migrations, and integrations.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging client interactions independently.\nSelf-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal oversight.\nReceptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement, both personally and within the team.\nReliable and reassuring partner in collaboration, with a strong focus on team success and client satisfaction.\nCREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE\nExperience working with JIRA/Confluence or other tickets management systems.\n2-3 years of experience working in eCommerce\nStrong organizational and problem solving skills\nProficient in writing software documentation\nStrong understanding of the lifecycle and methodologies of software development\nAbility to work well in a team environment\nAbility to clearly articulate complicated systems to other team members and generate buy-in\nManages own work on a weekly basis\nConsistently delivers high-quality material on time\nDemonstrates above-average productivity\nPERKS & BENEFITS\nYou will work on fun, impactful, visible and challenging projects for growing brands in the Champions League of e-commerce.\nFlexible location: possibility to work in our beautiful office in picturesque Delft, or hybrid- we meet up weekly during dev-days in the office in Delft, easy accessibility by public transport and car.\nYou will join an agency with high ambitions but realistic expectations.
