position below:\n\nJob Title: Store Manager \n\nLocation: Awka, Anambra\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nReports to: Operations Manager / Head of Retail\n\nDirect Reports: Sales Assistants, Cashiers, Stock Keepers\n\nMain Functions\n\n The Store Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, sales targets are met, and company standards are maintained.\n\n This role includes managing staff, inventory, and store finances efficiently.\n\n The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and retail experience, and a passion for customer satisfaction.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\nStore Operations and Sales:\n\n Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.\n\n Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.\n\n Ensure product displays and merchandising meet company standards.\n\n Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.\n\nInventory and Stock Management:\n\n Monitor stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.\n\n Supervise stock receiving, storage, and stock-taking exercises.\n\n Minimise loss, wastage, theft, and damage.\n\n Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly.\n\nFinancial Management:\n\n Ensure accurate daily cash handling, banking, and sales reconciliation.\n\n Manage store expenses within the approved budget.\n\n Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and stock reports.\n\nTeam Leadership and Development:\n\n Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store staff.\n\n Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate shift coverage.\n\n Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide coaching and feedback.\n\n Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.\n\nCustomer Service:\n\n Deliver and promote excellent customer service at all times.\n\n Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.\n\n Gather customer feedback to improve products and service.\n\nHealth, Safety and Compliance:\n\n Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment.\n\n Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and security procedures.\n\n Conduct routine checks on store equipment, facilities, and security systems.\n\nQualifications and Requirements\n\nEducation and Certifications:\n\n Minimum of an OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.\n\n Professional certification in retail management or sales is an added advantage.\n\nExperience:\n\n At least 3–5 years of experience in retail or store operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.\n\n Experience with inventory systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.\n\nSkills:\n\n Leadership:Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.\n\n Sales and Customer Focus:Strong sales acumen and a customer-first mindset.\n\n Numeracy and Reporting:Good financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and Word.\n\n Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\n Problem-Solving:Ability to make sound
