Possess and applies advanced knowledge of the subject matter and significant relevant experience to independently perform difficult and the most complex technical work. Responsible for providing expert technical support, direction and advice for the development of projects, programs and engineering products. Performs engineering evaluations, calculations, analysis and design to support the requirements of the designated company area or specific engineering discipline. Exercises independent judgment and decision making to solve complex engineering problems and to manage multifaceted complex projects, including scoping, scheduling, budget development, cost tracking and oversight to meet cost and time objectives. Requires significant experience as a technical lead as well as specialized certifications, education, knowledge or experience required by the work.\nImplements technology within an engineering field.\nFocuses on the practical application of engineering theories. Determines how to make the designs and plans of engineers work.\nApplies basic scientific and engineering principles and methods, along with technical skills, to support engineering activities.\nMay perform product improvement, testing, field engineering, development, manufacturing, construction, systems development, quality control, and operational engineering.\nMay perform some design and theoretical work, but does not possess the educational background required to function as an Engineer.\nMay perform same work as titled Engineers, but possesses an engineering degree which is not ABET-accredited.\nThe candidate will provide technical support for Dominion Energy Electric Transmission field operations, focusing on transformers, switches, breakers, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, and instrument transformers from managing vendor relationships, to operation, to decommissioning, and (when applicable) root cause analyses (RCA). As novel challenges arise, the candidate develops the necessary knowledge base and engineering capabilities to address them.\nCandidates should have 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of technical principles and practices, preferably in electric power systems.
