This role offers hands-on experience with content management systems, website analytics, accessibility standards, search optimization, and digital engagement strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the intern will help create, review, and publish web content that informs, engages, and supports customers while adhering to brand, accessibility, and governance standards. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in web publishing, content strategy, digital marketing, and digital customer experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate with internal business partners to gather approved content, images, videos, and other digital assets.\nAssist with creating, editing, organizing, and publishing website content using the Sitecore content management system (CMS).\nHelp review and optimize website content to ensure it is clear, accessible, search-friendly, and effectively displayed across multiple devices and browsers.\nReview website pages for quality, consistency, accessibility, and compliance with brand and content standards.\nAssist with website testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of content and user experience issues.\nSupport website analytics and reporting efforts by helping monitor performance metrics and identifying opportunities to improve the user experience.\nContribute ideas and recommendations to enhance website content, usability, searchability, and overall digital engagement across web and mobile platforms.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nDemonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Experiences\nFamiliarity with digital communications, web publishing, or content management tools is preferred, including: Content Management Systems (CMS): Sitecore, WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)\nWeb Analytics & Reporting: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar platforms\nSEO & Accessibility Tools: Siteimprove, BrightEdge, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager\n Design & Digital Asset Tools: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Express\n\nBasic understanding of HTML, CSS, web accessibility, SEO, and user experience (UX) principles is preferred.\n Education Requirements\nMust be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Web Design, User Experience (UX), Digital Media, Information Systems, or a related discipline.\nMust have an anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.\nMust have a 2.5 GPA or higher.\nTest Description\nNo Testing Required\nExport Control\nCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
