Review the position below and apply today.\nWe offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.\nAt this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position.\nJob Summary\nThis engineering internship position will provide direct support to the Dominion Energy Power Generation Renewable Energy group.\nThis group manages Dominion’s entire solar fleet totaling more than 2,500 megawatts in 10 states. This position utilizes engineering fundamentals to analyze site performance and identify opportunities across our fleet to improve production.\nCandidates should be accustomed to verifying their results and producing high quality work within a short timeframe. In addition to engineering analyses, some of the assignments may require technical writing, preparing presentations and speaking in front of other employees and leaders.\nIt will be necessary to periodically work outside and visit solar sites to initially learn the role and support the technical staff in troubleshooting problems.\nPerform other duties as requested or assigned.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience\nSolid engineering skills commensurate with grade level.\nUnderstanding of fundamental theories and principles.\nGood understanding or ability to learn various computer application skills including Microsoft Office products, Tableau, Alteryx and PI systems\nStrong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills including technical writing.\nSelf-motivator who is comfortable with working independently but also has the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.\nStrong time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to think analytically and solve complex problems.\nComfortable with learning how to interpret technical literature such as national codes, regulations and policies.\nComfortable with updating technical standards and material specifications.\nGood professional ethics.\nValid driver's license.\nEducation Requirements\nEnrolled in a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET.\nStudents should have a graduation date of spring 2028 or later.\nMust have a 2.5 GPA or greater.\nMechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.\nTest Description\nNo Testing Required\nExport Control\nCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
