Proficiency in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Computer Controls is essential. The Maintenance Technician will be entrusted with the vital responsibility of maintaining our distribution and manufacturing facility, including executing preventive maintenance, conducting thorough troubleshooting, performing precise repairs, and overseeing the installation of machinery related to food processing equipment, physical structures, and mechanical and electrical systems. Furthermore, the Maintenance Technician must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and their stringent application when working with mechanical and electrical equipment in a high-stakes production environment.\nNight Shift 10pm-6am; 5 days a week, 2 days off\nHourly pay: $31.50/hr\n Core Responsibilities and Duties\n (40%) Equipment Inspection, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance\nConduct rigorous monitoring of equipment to detect and prevent malfunctions\n Industrial equipment electric control voltage trouble shooting\nEngage in critical discussions with supervisors and team members to accurately diagnose complex issues and implement effective machine repairs\nExecute precise installation, repair, or replacement of electrical devices, including transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, and safety and limit switches\nPerform meticulous layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment\nImplement, program, and troubleshoot sophisticated automated machinery and Programmable Logic Controllers\nOversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of critical refrigeration and Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment\nEnsure optimal performance of material handling equipment through regular service and repairs\nMaintain vigilant monitoring of the main electrical panel and conduct immediate troubleshooting as necessary\nExecute repairs and maintenance on essential systems including boilers, water heaters, water conditioning equipment, and all water distribution systems\n (20%) Adherence to Preventative Maintenance Protocols\nDiligently perform all necessary maintenance tasks and meticulously update logs\nPromptly report major issues to the supervisor, ensuring swift resolution\n (10%) Facility Structural Integrity Maintenance\nExecute precise repairs and maintain the physical structure of the establishment\nConduct general maintenance repairs of office and building infrastructure\n (20%) Strict Adherence to Safety and Regulatory Compliance\nProactively identify potential safety issues with machines; thoroughly document concerns; develop comprehensive action plans for resolution; rigorously follow up to ensure complete problem resolution\nContinuously monitor machines to ensure all levels comply with EPA, OSHA, and other government guidelines; swiftly develop and implement action plans to address any deviations; conduct thorough follow-ups to confirm full resolution of issues\n (10%) Critical Auxiliary Duties\nProvide crucial assistance in the control and scheduling of projects\nMaintain vigilant monitoring of inventory levels and initiate timely orders for essential parts\nConduct comprehensive monitoring of energy usage and provide strategic recommendations for improved efficiency\n Certificates, Licenses, Regulations (Preferred)\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be proactive and self-motivated, have the ability to evaluate and repair all types of mechanical and electrical equipment, and is able to perform under extreme stress when there is equipment failure. Core Competencies should include:\nRefrigeration\nElectrical Systems\nControls\nMechanical Systems\nBasic Maintenance skills\nHS Diploma, and/or Technical School Training two years, and/or 3 to 4 years related experience, and/or licensed journeyman of a skilled trade.\nBasic level computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets\nAble to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams\nAble to effectively present information to peers, upper management, and team members in oral and written form\nDefine problems and draw conclusions\nInterpret technical instructions and diagrams\n The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
