securing, and supporting enterprise network services across on-premises and cloud environments.\nIn addition to core networking expertise, this role is expected to drive automation and leverage AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency, standardization, and scalability-particularly in areas such as Palo Alto firewall configuration management and deployment workflows.\nPalo Alto Firewall Engineering (Primary Focus)\nDesign, deploy, and manage Palo Alto NGFW infrastructure including policies, NAT, VPN, and segmentation\nManage centralized configuration via Panorama and ensure consistency across environments\nLead firewall optimization, rule lifecycle management, and security posture improvements\nAI & Automation for Palo Alto (Key Expectation)\nDevelop and implement automated firewall rule deployment (“push automation”) using APIs, scripting, or orchestration tools\nReduce manual changes by building standardized templates and policy models\nExplore and implement AI-assisted workflows to:Identify redundant or unused rules\nRecommend rule optimization or cleanup\nDetect anomalies or misconfigurations in policy sets\n\nIntegrate firewall automation into CI/CD-style pipelines where applicable\nPartner with security teams to align automation with governance and audit requirements\nCisco Meraki (Store / Branch / Edge)\nDeploy and support Meraki MX/MS/MR infrastructure across distributed environments\nStandardize configurations for rapid store/branch rollout\nAutomate repetitive tasks (config templating, provisioning, monitoring Workflows)\nDevelop AI monitoring capabilities with the goal of issue identification, notification and remediation within Meraki\nCisco Routing & Switching\nConfigure and support routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and enterprise switching\nTroubleshoot complex network issues including packet-level analysis\nContribute to resilient network design and failover strategies\nAzure Networking & Hybrid Connectivity\nDesign and manage Azure networking (VNets, subnets, routing, NSGs, connectivity)\nImplement hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute / VPN) between on-prem and cloud\nAlign network patterns with secure cloud architecture principles\nAutomation & AI Expectations\nThis role is expected to lead the evolution from manual operations to automated and intelligent network management:\nIdentify and eliminate repetitive operational tasks through automation\nBuild reusable automation frameworks across:Firewall changes (Palo Alto focus)\nNetwork provisioning and configuration\nMonitoring and alerting workflows\n\nEvaluate and introduce AI-assisted tooling to:Improve troubleshooting accuracy\nEnhance observability and predictive insights\nSupport decision-making in network and security operations\n\nDrive adoption of automation across the team (documentation, standards, mentoring)\nLeadership Expectations\nAct as a technical lead and escalation point across networking and security domains\nMentor engineers on both networking fundamentals and automation practices\nLead cross-functional initiatives (network, cloud, security, operations)\nInfluence roadmap decisions with focus on scalability, automation, and efficiency\nBalance delivery of projects with ownership of operational health\n 7+ years in enterprise network engineering (LAN/WAN/security/cloud)\nStrong hands-on experience with: Palo Alto firewalls (required)\nCisco routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)\nCisco Meraki\nAzure networking\n\nProven ability to operate in a build + run (50/50) environment\nExperience developing or using automation (scripting, APIs, infrastructure-as-code)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Palo Alto automation (Panorama APIs, scripting, orchestration)\nKnowledge of
