Join a culture of collaboration and innovation that matters and a chance to learn, effect change, and make meaningful contributions at work and in communities.\nSummary of Position Purpose:\nWorking closely with colleagues across the business to ensure continuity of supply for parts and materials, supporting both internal manufacturing requirements and the provision of customer spares\nManaging end-to-end (‘cradle to grave’) supplier relationships and procurement activities through a commodity-based procurement approach\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nSchedule incoming materials in line with forecast demand, ensuring continuity of supply and alignment with production requirements\nGenerate and issue purchase orders to nominated suppliers within the assigned commodity areas\nProvide suppliers with clear specifications and requirements for materials and services ordered, ensuring compliance with agreed standards\nManage supplier non-conformances relating to goods received, working closely with Quality Control and Technical teams to resolve issues and, where appropriate, negotiate associated costs\nExpedite outstanding orders and proactively report any supplier delays that may impact production or customer requirements\nCreating First Article Inspection (FAI) and per-production documentation, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and can be effectively tracked throughout the business\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date procurement and supply information within the ERP/MRP system\nLiaise closely with relevant departments throughout the day to identify, address and resolve supply-related issues promptly\nInvestigate and resolve supplier price discrepancies, reporting findings to the relevant department for appropriate action and obtaining credit notes where necessary\nManage cost-saving projects as directed by the Strategic Sourcing team, identifying opportunities to deliver value and improve procurement performance\nMaintain and continuously update the Demand Planning system to ensure accurate and reliable planning information\nProvide effective procurement and supply support to all internal customers, responding promptly to their requirements\nCoordinate buffer stock, Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and consignment stock arrangements with strategic suppliers to support continuity of supply\nAchieve and maintain agreed business KPIs, ensuring procurement activities support overall business objectives\nWorking closely with the Validation team to obtain and maintain the documentation required to meet testing and regulatory requirements, including REACH and RoHS compliance\nUnderstanding of Indirect Procurement and assist as required\nPerson Specification:\nKnowledge\n\nEssential\nProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel within a professional office environment\nKnowledge of ERP/MRP systems to support procurement and business operations\nDesirable\nKnowledge of supplier management, maintaining effective relationships and supporting supplier performance\nProficient in using MRP/ERP systems, including Oracle, to support procurement and materials planning activities\nCommitted to professional development, with a willingness to work towards a relevant procurement qualification such as CIPS, or build upon existing qualifications\n\nExperience\nEssential\nExperienced in liaising and building effective working relationships with suppliers\nStrong office administration and organizational skills\nDesire to work within a procurement department in a manufacturing environment\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including creating, reviewing and checking formulas\nAptitudes, Abilities and Behaviors\nEssential\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure purchasing environment\nInterpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams internally and externally\nHas the ability to work with large datasets\nTeam player who readily supports colleagues and contributes to a positive, collaborative working environment\nHave a proactive approach to achieving goals\nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively\nOther Factors\nEssential\nCommitted to supporting and upholding the core values of the business\nFlexible and willing to work outside normal business hours when required to meet business needs\nAdaptable and willing to undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the business and maintain its standards and core values\nEmployment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
