You’ll lead engineering initiatives from early concept through production release, collaborate directly with OEM customers, and support existing product platforms. Donaldson’s broad product portfolio and global reach provide exceptional opportunities to deepen your technical expertise and grow your career.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDrive customer-focused innovationby applying advanced engineering tools and methods to develop hydraulic filtration solutions.\n\nTranslate customer requirementsinto clear product concepts, performance targets, and technical proposals.\n\nLead product developmentfrom design and analysis through validation, testing, and production release.\n\nSupport existing productsthrough design updates, material changes, and continuous improvement activities.\n\nManage test programsto ensure products meet performance, durability, and regulatory expectations.\n\nProvide design guidanceto internal teams and OEM customers throughout the development cycle.\n\nIdentify new technology opportunitiesand support Donaldson’s intellectual property strategy.\n\nStay currenton emerging hydraulic technologies, materials, and industry standards.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionallywith Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering through customer visits and technical consultations.\n\nEducate otherson filtration principles and tools as part of a market-leading organization.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering\n\n3+ years of professional engineering experience\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with hydraulic systems\n\nFiltration knowledge or industry experience\n\nBackground in automotive, heavy equipment, or mobile machinery\n\nFamiliarity with APQP or similar structured product development processes\n\nExperience working within IATF or ISO/TS certified systems\n\nStrong collaboration skills, self-motivation, and professional confidence\n\nEffective communication skills across all levels, including customer-facing interactions\n\nDemonstrated project management capability\n\nTRAVEL: Up to 15% (primarily U.S., with occasional international travel)\nAnnual Salary Range: $76,400 - $105,050 annually.
