This individual will be responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, supporting growth initiatives, and managing a cross-functional team. The role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greeneville, TN facility.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDevelops and manages the overall production planning activities for the plant maximizing customer service, delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control and purchasing. \nManages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures. \nDevelops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which includes continuously evaluating the plant’s needs capacities, capital, and expenses, to meet growth goals. \nEstablishes effective communication with internal departments to ensure on time delivery of product and team support. \nMinimizes interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices. \nAssists in planning the operating budget.\nManages team of buyers, planners, shipping and receiving team members for 2 facilities at the Greeneville site.\nLead the plants S&OE processes to align demand, supply, and scheduling to meet customer demands\nMinimum Qualification:\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field OR equivalent experience\n5+ years of professional level manufacturing/production control experience\nPrior people-management experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in production control, materials purchasing, inventory planning, detailed scheduling, warehouse management, and logistics in a manufacturing environment\nCPIM, CSCP, or CLTD from APICS ASCM or other national certification\nExposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) \nProficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports\nExperience with Business Intelligence (BI) software for data mining and dashboard development\nBackground in Kaizen, or continuous improvement\nExperience in Lean Six Sigma, or project management\nImmigration Sponsorship Not Available:\nApplicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.). \nDonaldson will not offer immigration sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. \nInternational relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered. \nEmployment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
