Maintain regular communication to ensure alignment on priorities, schedule execution, and issue resolution.\nQualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Rensselaer, IN facility.\nRole Responsibilities:\nManages the operational functions on each shift at the distribution center. This includes receiving, putaway, replenishing, picking from reserve (over goods locations), and picking from floor locations on Manhattan’s 2017 rev warehouse management open system.\n\nWorks closely with EHS and Quality Managers in the areas of safety and quality thereby supporting both our QMS (Quality Management System), and EMS (Environmental Management System), and the DCI Safety Framework rollout.\n\nParticipates in the development of and executes the distribution center’s operational budget.\n\nResponsible for the compliance and use of all standard work. Works together with engineering and quality to ensure all training is properly and promptly completed to ensure the DC Operations teams comply with all company and regulatory requirements.\n\nManages leadership development, staffing plans, scheduling, and other operations related functions to meet budget requirements.\n\nA focus on supervisor development. Develop and work with supervisors in the areas of employee relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, operation process improvements, scheduling, HR actions, improving uptime and reducing waste, and training.\n\nSupport leadership development in the form of creating individual development plans for first line Supervisors with quarterly reviews.\n\nFosters a culture of continuous improvement to realize cost reduction opportunities for the DC to create more of a competitive advantage and improve gross margin.\n\nParticipates as an active sponsor in supporting the DC’s Lean initiatives.
