Navy Yard Riverfront is the place for you.\nFood & Beverage Supervisor\nSalary Range $21.00 - $23.00 per hour (experience-based compensation)\nPosition Summary\nTo manage and supervise all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, including complimentary services and banquets, to ensure success in the areas of finances, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.\nEssential Functions\nSupervise and manage the daily operations of the food and beverage department.\nEnsure that the level of quality and presentation meets standards daily.\nPersonally respond to all guests' comments and complaints to ensure they are being handled promptly.\nTrain staff on job competencies and ensure they are aware of hotel policies and procedures, including service standards for the hotel and guest brand standards regarding service and cleanliness.\nMonitor the department to ensure all brand requirements are met daily in both the kitchen area and the front of house.\nReview standards to ensure the department is operating within brand and hotel requirements.\nAddress staff inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.\nResponsible for training, supervising, and monitoring food sanitation and safety procedures in the kitchen and dining area.\nResponsible for working with the sales department and housekeeping department to ensure banquets are handled according to BEO requirements and to the guests' satisfaction.\nDemonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards and guests' expectations.\nResponsible for training, management, development, and evaluation of all food and beverage employees.\nEnsure compliance with all hotel and brand policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.\nEducation and Experience\nPrevious food & beverage experience required\nPrevious supervisory experience required\nA certificate in Food Sanitation is preferred.\nSkills and Abilities\nClear verbal and written communication skills\nCertified food handler\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment\nAbility to motivate and train employees in guest services.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nThe hotel operates 24/7, requiring department schedules to adapt to varying business demands.
