About the Team

DoorDash’s Commerce Platform empowers merchants with the tools they need to grow and operate their businesses. Drive On-Demand is a key component of this platform, providing white-label fulfillment solutions for retailers across multiple SLAs.

The Commerce Platform Logistics team is a sustainable growth team within Commerce Platform. We own Final Mile cost and efficiency, ensuring that DoorDash Commerce Platform is the most cost effective, reliable way for merchants to reach as many customers as possible through their first-party channels. This means expanding product offerings and improving network efficiency to simultaneously reduce fulfillment costs and unblock growth for merchants while providing Dashers with valuable earnings opportunities.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader with an “and not either/or” mindset who is passionate about driving sustainable growth. As a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations - Delivery Cost, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving fulfillment cost and efficiency, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of network efficiency improvement strategies.

Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. One day, you might be sizing the impact of a change to how we batch orders. The next day, you could be deep diving an escalation from a merchant or dasher and leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements.

As the part of this team, you will:

• Partner with Finance & Strategy to track and analyze fulfillment cost metrics across different lines of business and strategic merchants.
• Support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor fulfillment cost and efficiency improvement efforts.
• Partner with Analytics and Product teams to scope and assess initiatives that can improve fulfillment cost and efficiency.
• Assist in structuring and executing operational tests to learn quickly and inform the product roadmap.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives that enhance merchant and customer experience.

• You thrive in a cross-functional environment and are comfortable working with Finance & Strategy, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams.
• You are highly detail-oriented and have a strong ability to organize, track, and analyze performance data.
• You are customer- and merchant-obsessed and excited to help merchants scale their first-party fulfillment through Drive On-Demand.
• Have 3-4 years of relevant experience
• You have a Bachelor’s degree.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$87,000—$128,000 USD
