This role combines deep technical expertise in data science, data engineering, and software engineering with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable insights. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, the Senior Data Scientist helps accelerate dormakaba’s transformation into a data- and AI-driven organization.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nPredictive modeling and advanced analytics development\n\nDesign, develop, and validate statistical, machine learning, and (where warranted) deep learning models (forecasting, classification, optimization) to support strategic and operational decision making, applying sound scientific judgment to select the simplest technique that reliably solves the problem (e.g., KNN or tree-based models vs. neural networks) rather than defaulting to complexity.\n\nOperationalization and deployment of analytics solutions\n\nBuild and deploy predictive models and analytics pipelines into production environments using cloud and enterprise platforms, applying software engineering best practices (version control, automated testing, CI/CD, code review, modular/reusable design) to ensure solutions are maintainable and enterprise-grade.\n\nMLOps, monitoring, and model lifecycle management\n\nImplement model lifecycle practices including versioning, monitoring, retraining, and performance tracking.\n\nCross-functional collaboration and requirements translation\n\nWork closely with BI, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and IT stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical and predictive solutions.\n\nData governance, documentation, and compliance\n\nEnsure analytical solutions comply with enterprise data governance, security, and documentation standards.\n\nContinuous improvement and analytics maturity advancement\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate processes, improve model performance, and elevate predictive analytics capabilities across the organization.\n\nInsight communication and decision support\n\nWork with business partners (Operations, Commercial, Finance, etc.) to communicate analytical results, forecasts, and recommendations through dashboards, visualizations, and clear storytelling tailored to non-technical audiences.\n\nData engineering and software engineering excellence\n\nArchitect and build scalable, well-tested data pipelines and reusable engineering frameworks — not just one-off models; bring strong software development practices (version control, automated testing, CI/CD, API/service design, containerization) to the data science function and mentor others in this way of working.\n\nWhat we require\n\nMaster’s degree in a quantitative field (PhD preferred) or equivalent practical experience.\n\n15+ years of experience across data science, data engineering, analytics, and software development.\n\nProven track record delivering scalable AI/ML, predictive analytics, and data-driven solutions in production environments.\n\nExpertise in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI.\n\nStrong proficiency in Python, Azure, and enterprise data platforms; experience with SAP and Salesforce data is preferred.\n\nExperience building scalable data pipelines, analytics platforms, and forecasting solutions.\n\nSolid software engineering and MLOps practices, including CI/CD, testing, APIs, microservices, containerization, deployment, and monitoring.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks is an advantage.\n\nProfessional English proficiency.\n\nExcellent analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into impactful data solutions.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nBest opportunities in a globally operating company valuing diversity, inclusion, sustainability and mutual trust \n\nHome office allowance \n\n25 days paid annual leave \n\nAdditional health insurance \n\n102.26 EUR Food vouchers \n\nPublic transportation card \n\nMultisport / Coolfit card \n\nOpportunity for flexibility with a hybrid working model \n\nEmployee Assistance Program (Mental Health, Legal & Financial Counselling) \n\nLanguage training opportunity \n\nBrand new modern office premises in a class A Business building \n\nEmployee referral program \n\nFresh fruits in the office \n\nTraining and mentorship programs \n\nAccess to over 15,000 LinkedIn Learning courses to assist in your development \n\nWho we are\n\nWe are at the heart of every place that matters.
