The purpose of our existence is: “To accelerate the world’s transition to retail sustainability through category management that simultaneously delivers remarkable performance, exceptional shopping experiences and meaningful strides towards sustainability.”\nThis dynamic role will be perfect for an individual who is looking to pursue a career within the retail industry or someone who values strategic planning and problem solving, customer satisfaction, and working in an innovative environment.\nWith a starting Cost to Company of between R23K-R30K CTC per month, we're looking for people who value strategic planning, problem-solving, customer satisfaction and working in an innovative environment.\nWhat would the job entail?\nAs a Category Planner at DotActiv you would be responsible for :\n(By utilising DotActiv’s Category Planning Software)\nCreating strategic assortment plans;\nDesigning data-driven floor space plans;\nPlanning and building data-driven shelf plans;\nConducting floor and space plan analytical reviews;\nDeveloping optimised cluster plans per product category using the cluster\noptimizer and maintenance tools in the DotActiv software;\nAnalysing the cluster plan and profiling each cluster to deliver strategic insights to clients;\nMaximising customer and category performance by considering category strategies and plans, product financial performance, shopper psychology and aesthetic appeal; and\nSupporting, advising and guiding retail customers where required.\nRequirements\n Creative flair and ability to identify aesthetic/visual appeal.\n 2+ years of similar and relevant experience in the Retail Sector\n Strong Interpersonal Skills.\n Computer Literacy - MS Office.\n Driver’s license and own transport.\n Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).\n Team player.\n Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.\n Self-motivated and results oriented.\n Must have strong analytical skills and be able to use data analysis techniques and how to apply these to business situations;\n You must have a high capacity to represent the DotActiv brand as a specialist;\n You must have a high degree of internal client engagement;\n Consumer Science, Business/Marketing or Supply Chain related degree is a must.\n Benefits\nHere's what you can expect from DotActiv when joining the team as a Category Planner.\nYou’ll receive a Cost to Company of between R23-30K CTC depending on your experience;\nYou’ll have the opportunity to upskill yourself in any field that adds value to your current position;\nWe offer you a transparent job grading system;
