Luma is an AI-Native Multimodal Research Platform for Scientific Intelligence - it fits the way our customers \"do science,\" letting them streamline research with adaptive R&D workflows driven by AI and seamless data integration.\nAs a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll build scalable features across a distributed, event-driven system and help maintain the technical health of our codebase. You should be a hands-on expert across the Node.js/React ecosystem, comfortable designing asynchronous, microservice-based architectures, with a genuine passion for scientific innovation. This is LUMA.\nIn this role you will:\nLead development of complex, high-impact features across a microservices architecture, owning both backend services and the frontend experiences they power\nDesign, build, and maintain serverless and event-driven data pipelines - including streaming and message-based workflows - capable of handling high-volume scientific data\nBuild asynchronous, non-blocking services and APIs that scale reliably under load\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested code; proactively identify technical debt and advocate for architectural improvements\nPartner closely with other engineers to build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex scientific research\nProvide technical guidance through thoughtful code reviews and pair programming, fostering a culture of continuous learning\nSupport the reliability of our services by implementing observability and participating in deployment and monitoring of your code in production\nWe are looking for candidates with:\nStrong fluency in English, both written and spoken, along with 8+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a SaaS environment, and ideally with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
