We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC\nSummary:\nThis position sets up and operates machine tools such as compression molding presses, blenders, ovens, and routing machines.\nResponsibilities:\nFollows job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions, fixtures, and equipment settings. \nSelects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder\nMoves controls to position press and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and pressures.\nObserves operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications\nMinimum required qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMust be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tools\nThe ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:\nClear communication, both oral and written\nOrganization skills; keep area clean to 5S standards\nPrior shop or mechanical experience desired\nMust work according to safety policies and procedures\nBasic computer skills \nMental/Visual/Physical Effort:\nWalks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently.· \nPeriodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required.\nPossesses good hand/eye coordination.\nPhysical and Material Hazards:·\nNormal operations require eye protection, steal toed shoes, and ear protection.· \nHot works requires aprons, heat resistant gloves, sleeves, and aprons.· \nChemical process requires face shield and mask.· \nAdditional safety equipment may be required.\nIllness or injury from materials present in normal working environment is unlikely.\nExposure to normal machine shop environment with periodic noise.· \nLimited disagreeable factors present.· \nCertain environments may fall under the site’s respiratory protection program where they would be required to pass a medical evaluation and undergo a respirator fit test. \n*Note: This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
