This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail.\nJob Title: Intern, Human Resources\nLocation: Keosauqua, IA\nWhat we are looking for: \nAs an HR Intern with Hillphoenix, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multiple disciplines of Human Resources, learn from HR leaders and gain a practical understanding of the manufacturing industry. At the completion of the internship, the intern will conduct a final presentation on their experience; both what they have learned and how we can sustain those learnings to continuously improve our team member and candidate experience.\nWhat you will be responsible for in this role: \n\nLearn the operations aspects of the facility and how HR supports the business operations. \nAssists in coordinating new hire orientations, on-boarding new employees, developing new programs, and increasing employee communications. \nPerforms process analysis for current HR processes and procedures. Suggests potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness. \nSupports recruiting process: Updating job descriptions, posting of positions, vetting applications and resumes, organizing interviews with candidates. \nAssists in updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details and maintaining current employee files. \nResponding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters. \nAssist with other tasks & projects as assigned by manager. \nWhat are the basic qualifications? \nPursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar career from an accredited university. \nAbility to maintain confidentiality and utilize appropriate tact and integrity. \nExcellent attention to detail, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills. \nExperience and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite \nWhat are the preferred qualifications? \nAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions. \nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. \nComfortable taking direction, working independently, and accepting feedback. \nHow We Define Our Values and Why You Should Join Our Team: \nThe backbone behind our collection of outstanding businesses is a team of dedicated employees who protect and enhance our valued reputation for quality and delivering what we promise.
