Fabricates various types of products and components, meeting defined production schedules. Performs basic operator preventative maintenance. Operate and/or use related machinery, equipment, and tools necessary to complete assembly/parts fabrication to specifications, which include forklifts, pallet jacks, saws, drills, tape measure, hand tools, etc.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for in this role:\n\nBasic Mechanical Skills\nFabricate wood crates for products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards.\nJobs require the use of hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools.\nSet-up, and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts and assemblies.\nArrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.\nMaintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.\nReview finished assemblies to ensure accuracy against drawings.\nReport fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.\nDiagnose process and quality issues, and make improvement recommendations to department supervisor.\nReports defective machines, parts and materials according to policy.\nEnsure safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment.\nParticipate in and attend cross-functional meetings as required.\nParticipate in cross-training program---train and be trained.\nPerforms a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.\n\nWhat are the basic qualifications?\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\n1 -2 years of production machine operator experience\nWhat are the preferred qualifications?\n1 to 2 years of fabrication/machining preferred\nTo be a great fit for the role:\nSelf-directed\nMechanical aptitude\nBasic reading/writing skills\nBasic PC skills\nBasic math skills\nAnalytical reasoning/problem solving skills\nAbility to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals\nGood communication skills\nUnderstanding of 6S\nAbility to read and understand all job specifications\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nAbility to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time\nAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.\nTeam oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.\nHow We Define Our Values and Why You Should Join Our Team:\nThe backbone behind our collection of outstanding businesses is a team of dedicated employees who protect and enhance our valued reputation for quality and delivering what we promise.
