Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.\nMaintenance Technician I\nPosition Summary\nThe Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production equipment with an emphasis on mechanical systems while possessing foundational electrical troubleshooting skills. This position supports safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, automated production equipment, and safety devices.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and drive systems.\nAssist with diagnosing electrical problems using a multimeter.\nRead voltage, check continuity, verify power, and test fuses.\nReplace sensors, switches, contactors, relays, proximity switches, limit switches, and other electrical components as directed.\nPerform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing equipment.\nTroubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, hoses, regulators, and air leaks.\nPerform repairs on CNC equipment and automated machinery under guidance when necessary.\nRead equipment manuals, mechanical drawings.\nComplete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.\nRespond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nTechnical school or industrial maintenance training preferred.\n1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.\nBasic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.\nAbility to safely use a digital multimeter.\nBasic understanding of AC/DC voltage and electrical safety.\nMechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.\nFamiliarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and industrial machinery.\nAbility to read basic electrical diagrams and mechanical prints.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with CNC equipment.\nWelding or fabrication experience.\nForklift and aerial lift certification.\nExperience with CMMS software.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift up to 50 pounds.\nStand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.\nAbility to work overtime and respond to emergency equipment failures as needed.\nAbility to safely work around moving industrial machinery.\nBenefits\n· Wages based on experience.\n· Quarterly Bonus\n· Three weeks of vacation (prorated first year)\n· Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401k starts on first day\n· Tuition Reimbursement\n· Paid Holidays\n· Onsite Gym for employee use\n· Free Gatorade and Coffee\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, age, genetic information, or any other factors prohibited by law.\n\nThis position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.\n\nWe consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
