We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC\nPlanning Supervisor\nPosition Summary\nThe Planning Supervisor oversees the development, execution, and maintenance of production plans and schedules to support operational goals and on-time delivery. This position provides day-to-day leadership to the Planning team, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and shop floor priorities. The Planning Supervisor drives accountability, effective communication, process improvement, and the use of data to improve planning and scheduling performance.\nEssential Responsibilities\nLead and coordinate the Planning team to ensure production plans and schedules align with customer requirements, backlog priorities, available capacity, and on-time delivery goals.\nOversee production scheduling, job sequencing, and work center assignments to support efficient workflow and achievement of production targets.\nPartner with Operations, Production, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to communicate priorities, address scheduling conflicts, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on business needs.\nEstablish clear planning and scheduling processes, standards, and best practices to improve consistency, execution, and accountability.\nDevelop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and other metrics to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.\nUse data, reporting tools, and ERP systems to identify risks, support decision-making, and improve planning effectiveness.\nMonitor schedule performance and proactively communicate changes, constraints, and potential delivery risks to appropriate stakeholders.\nCollaborate with shop floor leadership to ensure production priorities are understood, scheduling issues are addressed, and commitments are consistently followed through.\nIdentify opportunities to improve planning processes, material coordination, resource utilization, and production flow.\nLead, coach, and develop Planning team members by establishing expectations, providing feedback, and supporting individual and team development.\nFoster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented work environment that encourages problem-solving, open communication, and continuous improvement.\nSupport compliance with applicable quality management system requirements, company policies, and established procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nProvides direct supervision and leadership to assigned Planning team members. Responsibilities include establishing performance expectations, assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback, supporting employee development, and addressing performance concerns.\nMinimum Qualifications\nAt least five years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production planning, scheduling, or a related field.\nDemonstrated understanding of production planning, scheduling practices, and manufacturing operations.\nExperience using ERP systems to support planning and scheduling activities.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze data and develop reports or performance metrics.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing production requirements, and make sound, data-informed decisions.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management system requirements.\nOur Antigo facility is under ITAR/UNNPI regulations, must be a US Citizen \nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience.\nExperience with Infor SyteLine or a similar manufacturing ERP system.\nExperience developing and implementing planning and scheduling KPIs, dashboards, and process improvements.\nExperience working cross-functionally with Production, Operations, Procurement, and Sales.\nDemonstrated success improving schedule adherence, workflow, and on-time delivery performance.\nKey Competencies\nLeadership and Team Development: Sets clear expectations, coaches employees, and builds an effective, collaborative team.\nPlanning and Execution: Translates business priorities into achievable production plans and drives follow-through.\nCommunication and Collaboration: Proactively shares information, addresses issues, and builds alignment across departments.\nAnalytical Thinking: Uses data and metrics to identify problems, evaluate performance, and develop practical solutions.\nAccountability: Takes ownership of planning processes, follows through on commitments, and addresses gaps in execution.\nContinuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall departmental performance.\n\nThis position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.\n\nWe consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
