OPW is part of the Clean Energy & Fueling segment of Dover (NYSE: DOV).\nThe Industrial & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence through process optimization, facility and workflow design, continuous improvement, and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies. This role serves as a key contributor to increasing productivity, improving quality, reducing costs, and supporting the growth of Ball Ground operations through industrial engineering principles and advanced manufacturing solutions.\nThe position will lead time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, facility layout improvements, and capital equipment projects while leveraging SolidWorks and other engineering tools to support manufacturing processes. A significant focus of this role will be the evaluation, justification, implementation, and ongoing optimization of new manufacturing equipment and automation technologies.\nKey Responsibilities\nIndustrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement\nConduct time studies, work sampling, labor analysis, and line balancing to improve throughput and labor efficiency.\nDevelop and maintain standard work instructions, manufacturing routings, and process documentation.\nAnalyze plant performance metrics including cycle times, capacity utilization, OEE, labor productivity, and scrap rates.\nLead Lean Manufacturing initiatives utilizing 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and waste elimination methodologies.\nIdentify bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.\nSupport workforce planning through labor standards and capacity modeling.\nManufacturing Process Development\nDesign and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and workstation layouts.\nOptimize material flow and plant layout to improve productivity and reduce non-value-added activities.\nCollaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to support new product introductions and production improvements.\nDevelop manufacturing best practices focused on safety, ergonomics, quality, and efficiency.\nNew Equipment & Capital Projects\nLead the specification, evaluation, justification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.\nDevelop capital investment proposals including ROI, productivity gains, labor savings, and capacity analysis.\nManage equipment implementation projects from concept through production launch.\nSupport automation initiatives and advanced manufacturing technologies including CNC equipment, automated material handling systems, industrial washing systems, and specialty fabrication equipment.\nCoordinate equipment vendors, contractors, training programs, and startup activities to ensure successful implementation.\nMonitor post-installation performance and drive continuous improvement of newly installed equipment.\nCAD & Technical Design\nUtilize SolidWorks to design manufacturing fixtures, tooling, workholding devices, plant layouts, and process improvements preferred\nCollaborate with product engineering teams to improve manufacturability and reduce production costs.\nData Analysis & Systems Management\nAnalyze production trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities.\nSupport inventory optimization, labor utilization, and capacity planning activities.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in a Engineering to order (ETO) manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives and capital equipment implementations.\nExperience supporting fabrication, assembly, industrial equipment, or process manufacturing operations preferred.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering methodologies.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong proficiency in SolidWorks required.\nExperience with AutoCAD and manufacturing layout design preferred.\nExperience with ERP systems, production planning systems, and manufacturing analytics.\nStrong understanding of time studies, labor standards, capacity planning, and process optimization.\nKnowledge of automation, CNC equipment, industrial fabrication processes, and manufacturing technologies.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting or manufacturing Engineered-to-Order (ETO) products, including custom assemblies, fabricated systems, process equipment, piping systems, or specialty industrial products.\nDemonstrated experience leading Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives in a manufacturing environment.\nLean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.\nExperience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, and continuous improvement systems.\n Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost reduction, safety, and delivery performance through Operational Excellence methodologies.\n Experience leading plant expansion, equipment relocation, facility layout, or manufacturing footprint optimization projects.\n Experience performing ROI analysis, capital project justification, and equipment implementation projects.\nKnowledge of welding, fabrication, piping, or process equipment manufacturing.\nCompetencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProject management and execution
