Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.\nPosition Overview:\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex software releases spanning multiple products and engineering teams. This role will provide the systems-level program leadership needed to connect scope, technical dependencies, release milestones, risks, and readiness across the Software organization.\nThe Senior TPM will work closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Quality, Security, and DevOps to drive predictable execution, provide data-driven visibility to leadership, and help establish scalable software program management practices as the organization continues to mature.\nResponsibilities:\nSoftware Release Planning & Execution\nOwn integrated planning and execution for complex software releases spanning multiple products, platforms, and engineering teams.\nEstablish and drive release milestones, critical paths, cross-team commitments, and readiness criteria from development through production.\nPartner with engineering and technical leaders to translate release scope and technical constraints into executable plans.\nDependency, Change & Risk Management\nIdentify and manage cross-product technical dependencies, integration points, risks, and blockers that impact release outcomes.\nAssess the impact of scope, architecture, technical, and schedule changes and drive appropriate mitigation or recovery plans.\nDrive resolution of cross-team issues and escalate material risks and trade-offs with clear impact and options.\nRelease Governance & Leadership Visibility\nEstablish objective visibility into release health, milestones, dependencies, risks, scope changes, and key decisions through program dashboards, metrics, and reporting.\nLead release and readiness reviews and provide concise, data-driven executive reporting that surfaces program health, critical risks, trade-offs, and decisions needed.\nDrive accountability for decisions, actions, and cross-team commitments through closure.\nProgram Management Excellence\nDefine and mature scalable software program and release management processes and operating rhythms.\nEstablish consistent practices for planning, milestone management, dependency and risk management, change control, and release readiness.\nUse execution data, dashboards, metrics, and retrospectives to identify systemic bottlenecks and improve software delivery predictability.\nRequirements:\n8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, Software Engineering, or a related technical role, with experience leading complex software programs across multiple teams.\nStrong understanding of software development and release lifecycles, with the technical acumen to understand system architecture, integration dependencies, and engineering trade-offs.\nDemonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage complex cross-team dependencies and risks, and drive programs to successful outcomes without direct authority.\nDemonstrated experience developing program dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting that translate complex program information into clear insights, risks, and decisions for leadership.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExperience with complex software platforms involving multiple products, services, or hardware/software integrations.\nFamiliarity with Agile/SAFe, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.\nExperience incorporating software security requirements, vulnerabilities, security assessments, or security readiness into software development and release processes.\nExperience helping establish or mature technical program management or software release management practices.\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nSuccess in this role means complex software releases are managed as integrated technical programs rather than collections of individual team plans.
