If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.\nAbout you and this role\nDow is seeking the next Associate Operator to support our Ardmore, OK site.\nAs the Associate Operator, you operate assigned equipment or areas of the plant to ensure safe, quality, and efficient operation of the entire plant. This role will perform the duties associated with but not limited to operating the plant, which includes the operation of control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates and transfer of products, writing Safe Work Permits, sampling, making area checks, Red Tags, Return to Operations (RTO), completing checklists, housekeeping, etc.\nResponsibilities\nFollow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.\nOperate and field check process equipment.\nMonitor process conditions, equipment and control systems.\nPerform tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List. (e.g., Field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.)\nEnsure operational activities and process performance are aligned with Plant and business goals.\nUse troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems and identify equipment requiring maintenance.\nAs required, initiate and participate in Root Cause Investigations.\nCoach and train others on plant operations.\nPerform immediate response activities assigned by Immediate Response Leader.\nUse process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and Operating discipline.\nPerform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines\nPerform all duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship. \nRequired Qualifications\nA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.\nWilling and able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.\nThis position will be on an 8-hour rotating Shift Schedule; rotations last 4 weeks.\nA minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociates degree in Process Technology.\n3 or more years of relevant military experience.\n2 or more years of industrial manufacturing experience.\nPrevious process operator/technician experience preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.\nLift, push, and pull.\nFrequent bending, reaching, and lifting.\nStand and walk for extended periods of time.\nWork at heights, climb stairs and ladders. This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs. \nWork in tight and closed in spaces.\nWear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to earplugs, goggles, hard hat and steel-toed shoes.\nWork in an area of intense or continuous noise.\nWork in an area with hazardous materials.\nSkills\nProcess Operation: Ability to operate and monitor plant equipment and control systems to ensure safe and efficient production.\nTroubleshooting: Skill in diagnosing and resolving process, equipment, and safety issues to maintain optimal plant performance.\nSafety Compliance: Strong commitment to following safety protocols, writing Safe Work Permits, and participating in emergency response activities.\nTechnical Communication: Capability to document procedures, complete checklists, and communicate effectively with team members during operations.\nPreventive Maintenance: Competence in performing minor repairs, equipment checks, and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.\nAdditional Note\nThis position does not offer relocation assistance.\nBenefits - What Dow offers you\nWe invest in you. \nDow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.
