Extracts knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, which may include the use of advanced statistical analysis, algorithms, predictive modeling, experimentation and pattern recognition to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance.\nResponsibilities\nParticipating in the design and development of end-to-end data science analytics solutions using associated technologies and in key conversations with stakeholders about data-driven recommendations to enable the business objective.\nPerform data preprocessing, harmonization, and feature engineering to prepare modeling datasets.\nDevelopment of machine learning or deep learning models, validation and maintenance using Python and identify when more simple techniques can be applied.\nResearching and applying knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions. Researching and leveraging supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.\nQualifications\nA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required (i.e. applied stats).\nA minimum of 5years of experience in predictive/prescriptive modeling in the Analytics and Machine Learning space.\nMaster's degree or PhD is preferred. \nBackground or experience in business application of analytics is highly desired.\nPreferred Skills\nEconometric/Statistical Modeling, Time Series Analysis, Panel Data Analysis, Consumer Behavior Analytics, Markets and Information Economics.\nStatistical Analysis programming languages and code hosting platforms: Python,R, GitHub. \nKnowledge of BI tools such as Power BI is a plus.\nMachine learning and artificial intelligence, deployment of data pipelines using Azure data services. \nSimulation Analysis, Optimization Concepts & Applications.\nAdditional notes\nRelocation assistance is not available with this position.\nThis position does not have people leadership responsibility. \nThis position is an independent contributor; however, you may act as coach and mentor to junior resources.\nBenefits - What Dow offers you\nWe invest in you. \nDow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.
