If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.\nAbout you and this role - What you will do in this role\nAs part of a highly functional and inclusive team, this person is responsible for the daily safe maintenance work and implementation of Dow's Health-Safety management systems at St Charles Operations. This role requires high initiative, strong technical knowledge and influential leadership to work confidently and independently with the plants and maintenance. They will provide guidance, influence, and mentorship to peers, co-workers, and contractors for teamwork and collaboration to achieve safe and healthy work.\nResponsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role\nAdvocates for an inclusive culture that achieves the flawless execution of Dow's Life Critical Standards.\nSpends a minimum of 50-70% of time in the field serving as a technical resource and coaching teams and individuals on Health, Safety and Environmental related tasks and activities. Conduct observations, life critical standard assessments, job audits, housekeeping audits, etc. \nProactively discuss and resolve EH&S issues with Maintenance personnel and all contractors in area of responsibility on a regular basis.\nLeads maintenance area safety meetings and participates in contractor safety meetings and tailgates in area of responsibility\nManage Safety Suggestion Program, Near Miss Program, area’s EHS Participation program, etc. for Maint Area as applicable.\nAssists in implementing detailed, task-level, day-to-day Health and Safety programs, utilizing Dow's H&S work process, standards and procedures.\nHelps to ensure that the EH&S aspects of Maintenance Job Plans and Procedures are adequate and applied during work in the field.\nLeads / participates in Pre-Job reviews with Contractor Companies.\nServes as the maintenance area’s contact for IH, Health and Safety issues.\nPerforms applicable IH monitoring for the facility.\nParticipates in the development of and supports the execution of the safety plans for higher-risk activities during daily work and maintenance turnarounds.\nServes as an active member of the maintenance area’s EH&S Team. Assists in developing and achieving area maintenance EH&S goals.\nEnsures assigned compliance tasks are completed.\nQualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)\nA minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.\n5 or more years of experience in an Operations, Maintenance Coordination, Safety Support, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.\nMust possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
