At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.\nAbout this role\nDiamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an-Instrument Technician in Plaquemine (LA).\nAs the Maintenance Technician-Instrument Technician, you would provide maintenance craft-specific support to plants. You would maintain and repair all types of equipment with craft knowledge and expertise. Provides front line reliability and maintenance subject matter expertise to ensure sustained reliable equipment and process operation. Provides technical expertise which may be equipment-based or repair technique-based and impacts the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the system and/or equipment.\nResponsibilities\nDiagnoses and corrects equipment problems.\nCompletes preventative maintenance activities.\nChecks sizing of components and parts.\nSpecifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.\nCoordinates maintenance spare parts.\nAssists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input.\nSets up and calibrates, tests, measures and repairs all types of controls and instruments with pneumatic, electrical, and electronic variables.\nRepairs, maintains and installs equipment and machinery which is used in the process.\nTroubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.\nCollects equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.\nWorks within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.\nQualifications\nA minimum of a High School diploma or GED and one or more of the following: 2 year degree in a Mechanical/Instrument type craft\nNCCER certified as an Instrument Tech (NCCER Certification obtained through an Instructor Led Training Program is a preference).\nIn lieu of a degree, 3 or more years of relevant military experience.\n5 or more years of experience in an industrial environment as an Instrument Tech or related field.\n\nCurrent, valid US driver's license.\nMust possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with Turbines, Compressors, Generators, Fans, Pumps and Gearboxes.\nSAP Knowledge.\nSkills\nEquipment Diagnosis and Repair - Ability to diagnose and correct equipment problems, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.\nPreventative Maintenance - Experience in completing preventative maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.\nTechnical Knowledge - Utilization of functional and technical knowledge, company standards, and educational background to analyze and solve problems effectively.\nInstrumentation- Experience in diagnosing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient plant operations.\nTroubleshooting - Ability to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions, document failure analysis, and collect equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.\nCollaboration and Communication - Effective working and maintaining relationships with Natural Work Teams and key stakeholders, including engineers, operations personnel, and co-workers, to identify and resolve technical issues.\nWilling and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:\nWear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.\nWear and use respirators.\nPerform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.\nWork in tight or closed-in spaces.\nClimb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground.\nStand or walk for extended periods of time. \nLift a maximum of 50 lbs.\nThis role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
