This is a position within our Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization. The role will align to Dow's Design your Day approach and allows employees to work remotely but will also require onsite work based on project work and role needs. The selected candidate will be expected to live a commutable distance from our IT Hub in Mumbai (IN) at a frequency to be agreed upon by the employee and their leader. As an Azure Data Platform Engineer specializing in data and analytics solutions, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data platforms and analytics solutions on the Azure cloud platform to enable business objectives and accelerate Dow's digital transformation. Your primary focus will be on managing and organizing data within Databricks Unity Catalog, which is a centralized metadata repository for storing and discovering data assets in an organization. You will develop and implement data integration processes, data pipelines, and data transformation workflows using Databricks Unity Catalog. You will be using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Python, and Azure Cloud resources along with implementing complete CI/CD pipelines. The Azure Data Platform Engineer will work with a cross-functional team that includes Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services, including Databricks, Storage Accounts, V-Net/Networking, SQL Servers, Function Apps, and API Management.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep, enabling standardized and repeatable deployments across Development, Test, and Production environments.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including Git repositories, branching strategies, release processes, and automated deployments.\nSupport the configuration, administration, and operational management of Azure Databricks and associated platform components, including Unity Catalog and integration with Azure services.\nDevelop automation and operational solutions using PowerShell, with working knowledge of Python and SQL for platform administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.\nCollaborate with data engineering, application, architecture, networking, and security teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions.\nImplement DevOps, cloud security, configuration management, and change management best practices, ensuring solutions align with company IT architecture and security standards.\nContinuously improve platform automation, reusable IaC libraries, technical documentation, operational procedures, and engineering best practices, while providing technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.\nQualifications\nAbility to thrive in challenging situations and solve complex problems. \nManage own work effort in multiple projects with little supervision. \nInterested about emerging technologies with the ability to quickly learn and exploit cutting edge offerings to achieve business objectives. \nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills. \nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nA minimum of a bachelor's degree in IT discipline or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.\nRecent experience designing and deploying in Microsoft Azure’s Environment.\nPreferred Skills\n DevOps Tools: Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes optional)\nInfrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep\n Coding & Scripting: PowerShell (Python and SQL basics)\nCloud: Azure\nAzure Services: Databricks, Databricks Workspace, V-Net, Networking, Azure SQL Server, Function Apps, Storage Accounts, API Management\nDatabricks: Unity Catalog, Databricks platform concepts\nDevOps Practices: CI/CD, repository structure, branching strategy, deployment automation\nSecurity & Governance: Cloud security, DevOps security, Change Management, Configuration Management\nGood to have skills -\nData Governance: Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog\nProgramming & Data: Basic Python, SQL, and Apache Spark knowledge\nContainerization & Security: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/DevOps security and governance concepts\nAdditional notes\nRelocation assistance is not available with this position. \nBenefits - What Dow offers you\nWe invest in you. \nDow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.
