If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.\nAbout You and this Role\nDow has an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician in St. Clair River, Ontario.\nIn this role, you will safely operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment to support reliable and efficient manufacturing operations. Working as part of a shift team, you will use your technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to optimize production, respond to operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement. You will also support training, maintenance, and emergency response activities while contributing to a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.\nResponsibilities\nFollow Operating Discipline policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.\nOperate, inspect, and monitor process equipment, control systems, and key performance metrics to maintain optimal plant performance aligned with business goals.\nPerform scheduled operational activities and respond to unplanned events to support continuous operations.\nCollaborate across shift teams to balance workload, resolve issues, and ensure tasks are completed on time.\nConduct effective shift handovers to ensure clear communication and operational continuity.\nMaintain qualifications and complete required training while proactively addressing skill and knowledge gaps.\nMentor and train operations personnel on process operations, troubleshooting, and operating discipline practices.\nSupport emergency response activities and participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis as needed.\nUse plant performance metrics and process knowledge to identify, communicate, and implement operational improvement opportunities.\nPerform autonomous maintenance activities, including minor repairs and preventive maintenance, in accordance with established procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nWilling and able to work a 12 hour rotating shift.\nWilling and able to work overtime as needed.\nWilling and able to respond to emergency situations.\nA minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada.
