If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.\nAbout you and this role - What you will do in this role\nDow is seeking the next Quality Control Analyst for our plant in Knoxville, TN. In this role, you are a team player that requires minimal supervision. You can perform Lab tasks using advanced Lab instrumentation in a safe and efficient manner, execute data entry of Lab results into quality database, and maintain Lab Housekeeping and organization to high standards.\nResponsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role\nPerform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special request samples.\nPerform testing according to written test methods.\nNotify appropriate individuals of all non ACC1 material.\nRecord QC data on lab requests and SAP worksheets.\nRecord QC data on raw material lab requests.\nRecord QC data on Laboratory Requests and/or SAP worksheets.\nRecord/Enter QC Data in SAP database system.\nPrepare and Issue certificates/letters of analysis.\nEnsure test equipment is in control.\nTake corrective actions to get instrumentation in control.\nQuality resource to other team members.\nImplement corrective actions.\nProvide quality training to other team members.\nTroubleshoot and perform minor repair of lab instrumentation.\nTroubleshoot quality procedures, test methods, and work instructions.\nBack-up other analysts.\nComplete housekeeping duties.\nMonitor the Boiler/TPA alarm panel board in the Laboratory.\nMaintain and order supplies/chemicals with the help of Lab Leadership.\nPerform other work as necessary within the framework of the job.\nQualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)\nA high school diploma or equivalent and one or more of the following:2 year college degree in relevant science or engineering field.\n3 years of relevant military experience.\n2 years of Laboratory experience.\n2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing plants.\n\nA willingness and ability to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.\nA minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.\nPhysical Requirements\nWilling and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.\nLift, push, and pull up to 55 pounds.\nFrequently bend, reach, and lift.\nSkills - Specific abilities and expertise required to perform tasks effectively in this role\nLaboratory Testing & Instrumentation Proficiency: Ability to safely and accurately perform qualification testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products using advanced laboratory instrumentation while following written test methods and quality standards.\nQuality Data Management: Strong attention to detail for recording, entering, and maintaining QC data in laboratory requests, SAP worksheets, and quality databases, including preparation of certificates and letters of analysis.\nQuality Control & Corrective Action Execution: Capability to identify non-conforming material, notify appropriate stakeholders, ensure testing equipment remains in control, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance.\nTroubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Skill in troubleshooting lab instrumentation, test methods, and work instructions, performing minor repairs, and supporting continuous improvement and peer training activities.\nReliability: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team members, backing up other analysts, maintaining lab housekeeping standards, and adhering to safety, shift, and physical job requirements.\nAdditional notes:\nThis position does not offer relocation assistance.\nBenefits - What Dow offers you\nWe invest in you. \nDow invests in total rewards programs to help you manage all aspects of you: your pay, your health, your life, your future, and your career.
