The ideal candidate is as comfortable digging through datasets as they are creating charts, graphics and visual explainers that help readers understand what matters and why.\nWe are not looking for someone who simply visualizes data supplied by others. We are looking for a journalist who independently identifies compelling stories from the jobs report or a public filing or research report and uncovers trends and develops original reporting rooted in data.\nThe strongest candidates will bring curiosity, strong news instincts and a passion for helping readers better visualize money, markets and the economy.\nThis role is based in New York.
