We champion a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence, ensuring our people have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive and do their best work.\nAbout the Role\nThe People Operations & Compliance Analyst supports the execution of Dow Jones' global HR compliance program while contributing to the effective delivery of Global People Operations.\nWorking closely with the Senior Manager, People Operations & Compliance, the role will have a primary focus on HR compliance, policy governance, regulatory monitoring, audit and assurance activities, data integrity, and compliance-related process execution. The Analyst will also support broader People Operations priorities, including operational reporting, data validation, process documentation, controls and continuous improvement.\nThis role sits within the Global HR Operations & Compliance team and works closely with People Operations, People Technology, Legal, Compensation and other People Team functions to help ensure People processes are compliant, accurate, well-controlled and scalable. You will be based in our New York office.\nYou Will:\nGlobal HR Compliance & Policy\nSupport the day-to-day execution of global HR compliance programs, processes and controls across the employee lifecycle.\nMonitor and track employment legislation and regulatory developments across global markets, escalating relevant changes and supporting resulting policy, process, system, communication and training activity.\nSupport the development, maintenance and governance of global HR policies, employee handbooks and related documentation.\nMaintain global compliance calendars, trackers, regulatory requirements and supporting documentation.\nSupport internal and external HR audit and assurance activities, including recurring compliance reviews and ISO/ISAE requirements.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation, process maps, controls, evidence and other compliance records.\nSupport global compliance initiatives including working time and time tracking, medical accommodations, pay equity and other emerging employment requirements.\nPartner with Legal and appropriate local experts to gather requirements and help translate regulatory requirements into practical People processes and controls.\nPartner with People Technology and People Operations to support implementation and testing of compliance-related system and process requirements.\nSupport compliance education and communications by coordinating materials, documentation and implementation activity.\nPeople Operations & Data\nSupport operational processes and projects across Global People Operations, particularly where compliance, controls or data integrity are critical.\nPerform data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance across People data, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolution. \nSupport recurring reporting and analysis, including compliance metrics, operational reporting and dashboards.\nAssist with audits and controls related to employee and People data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and appropriate documentation.\nMaintain SOPs, process documentation and controls to support consistent global execution.\nSupport operational escalations and cross-functional issues requiring research, data analysis or coordination across People functions.\nIdentify recurring issues, process gaps and opportunities for simplification, standardization or automation.\nCross-Functional Partnership & Continuous Improvement\nPartner across Global People Operations, People Technology, Compensation, Legal, People Experience, PBPs and COEs to support effective implementation of People programs and requirements.\nSupport projects that require coordination between policy requirements, People data and operational execution.\nContribute to the continued development of the Global HR Operations & Compliance operating model, including clearer controls, documentation, reporting and ways of working.\nSupport ad hoc analysis and operational initiatives based on evolving People Team priorities.\nYou Have:\n2-4 years of experience in HR Compliance, People/HR Operations, HR Analytics, Compensation Operations or a related field.\nExperience supporting HR compliance, policy, audit, controls or other risk-related activities preferred.\nStrong analytical skills with demonstrated experience reviewing, validating and reconciling data.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring requirements, deadlines and documentation across multiple workstreams.\nAbility to research requirements, identify relevant information and translate findings into clear actions.\nStrong process orientation with an interest in improving how work is documented, controlled and delivered.\nStrong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with Workday, ServiceNow or similar HR systems preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.\nExperience working within a global or complex organization is preferred.\nOur Benefits\nComprehensive Healthcare Plans\nPaid Time Off\nRetirement Plans\nComprehensive Insurance Plans\nLifestyle Programs & Wellness Resources\nEducation Benefits\nFamily Care Benefits & Caregiving Support\nCommuter Transit Program\nSubscription Discounts\nEmployee Referral Program\nFinancial Health Programs\nCybersecurity Protection\nLearn more about all our USbenefits\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
