The role will oversee projects from design and construction through to commissioning and handover, while leading project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholder relationships.\nYou will work closely with clients, delivery partners and internal teams to drive a collaborative, high-performing environment and ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and efficiently.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nLead the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects across design, construction, commissioning and handover. \nManage project budgets, schedules, cost performance, forecasting and reporting. \nProvide strong safety leadership and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are effectively implemented. \nManage subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement, progress claims, variations and commercial performance. \nBuild strong relationships across clients, stakeholders, design teams and delivery partners. \nLead, develop and support project teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance. \nDrive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve construction methodologies and project outcomes\nWhat we are looking for\nA Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification\nProject Management certification at Certificate IV level or higher\n10+ years' complex project management experience within the water and wastewater sector\nExperience delivering large-scale design and construct treatment plant projects, upgrade works and water transfer projects, including exposure to micro-tunnelling and deep shafts\nStrong experience across safety, quality, environmental, subcontractor, commercial and financial management\nDemonstrated experience leading and managing high-performing project teams\nStrong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capability\nExcellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships\nThe ability to operate effectively under pressure within a dynamic and changing contracting environment\nWhat we offer\nBrand new water project\nOpportunity for career growth with structured frameworks and supportive-inclusive team \nCompetitive Salary and Employee Benefits \nValued and respected position, with supportive and experienced team\nWork for a major ASX-listed company \nAbout Energy & Utilities… Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
