You will coordinate internal and external design resources, manage technical interfaces and help deliver practical, innovative and compliant engineering solutions.\nThis is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition, contributing technical expertise to infrastructure projects while collaborating with project teams, clients, design partners and technology providers.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nManaging engineering designs from concept through detailed design\nCoordinating multidisciplinary design teams and resolving project interfaces\nEvaluating design options and identifying value engineering opportunities\nIdentifying and managing key design and delivery risks and opportunities\nLeading design workshops, technical reviews and design review meetings\nSupporting the planning, scheduling and monitoring of design activities\nDeveloping scopes of work for engineering consultants and contractors\nProviding technical advice and resolving design related challenges\nSupporting site inspections, testing, commissioning and defect closeout\nEnsuring Safety in Design principles, applicable legislation, standards and project requirements are embedded throughout design delivery \nWhat we’re looking for\nYou will be an experienced engineering professional who enjoys working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to turn complex technical requirements into practical solutions.\nYou will ideally bring:\nA tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline\nA minimum of seven years post graduate engineering experience\nDemonstrated experience in design management on Design and Construct contracts\nExperience as a Design Engineer, Project Engineer or within a comparable engineering role\nStrong knowledge of building technology and construction methodologies\nExperience managing consultants, local authorities and other external stakeholders\nExperience preparing and evaluating tender documentation\nKnowledge of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards\nUnderstanding of cost planning, estimating, contract administration, commercial management and project controls\nStrong project management, communication and problem-solving capabilities\nChartered Professional Engineer CPEng status is highly regarded \nWhat we offer\nThis role provides the opportunity to contribute to an evolving New Energy portfolio and help shape innovative engineering solutions for Zero Emission Bus infrastructure.\nYou will work with experienced project and engineering professionals, engage with clients and industry partners and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on engineering excellence, innovation, sustainability and Zero Harm.\nAbout Energy & Utilities\nDowner’s Energy & Utilities business provides essential services and infrastructure solutions that support communities and industries across Australia and New Zealand.\nWithin New Energy, our teams are developing and delivering infrastructure solutions that support the transition to lower emission technologies, including Zero Emission Bus depot conversions.
