Our capability allows us to offer turnkey solutions for complex projects and spans every project phase, from design and manufacture to through-life-support, condition monitoring and data analytics, to fleet maintenance, operations, and comprehensive overhaul of assets.\nAbout the role:\nSeeking to appoint an experienced Engineering Team Lead who will be responsible for the development of engineering specifications, engineering reports, design and testing of ICT system hardware, software components. You will be responsible for the requirements definition and development of reference designs for new ICT systems to be incorporated into a design baseline. You will also require development of integration plans for rolling stock and assurance of new systems and operating methodologies.\nAs the Engineering Team Lead, you will support multiple activities across the delivery lifecycle and perform design and engineering tasks on rolling stock systems. This includes producing safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective designs; supporting production, maintenance and test & commissioning with timely engineering advice and concessions; identification of the root cause of problems across the fleet; managing technical risks and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.\nQualifications & experience:\nDegree qualifications - Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Systems Engineering Degree or similar recognised by Engineers Australia Mandatory. \nAchieved CPEng status or working towards it. \nRolling stock or Intelligent Transportation Systems experience. \nPrior experience software development as practiced in railway, military or heavy industrial environments. \nPrior experience with CCTV systems, Passenger Information Systems and or Shore Based systems. \nExperience with leading a team of engineers \nPrior experience with real-time control systems, voice and digital communications, plant control logic and/or software development as practiced in transportation, military or heavy industrial environments. \nPrior experience with Train Control Management Systems. \nSkills & Knowledge:\nAbility to lead a team of engineers effectively and manage delivery timelines of projects with documentation through the systems engineering lifecycle. \nStrong ability to interpret both technical requirements and commercial contracts. \nHighly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports to senior management. \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide rapid and effective engineering support. \nStrong stakeholder engagement experience and driving technical meetings with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders. \nExcellent computer skills with experience in the development and management of ICT systems \nRelevant Australian and International standards (AS, ASA, MD, EN, RFC, IEEE, etc.) experience, notably EN50155, EN50128 and similar. \nKnowledge of various software coding platforms and networking architecture. \nWhat We Offer:\nA workplace focused on Zero Harm; safety is at the core of everything we do\nFlexible working arrangements to encourage work/life balance\nExposure to major rolling stock projects \nTo pursue this opportunity with an ASX-listed organisation, please submit your application.\nYou want your work to matter and so do we.
